    摘要: A rotor casting includes a lamination stack and a cast structure including proximal and distal cast end rings respectively adjacent proximal and distal end faces of the lamination stack. Cast axial ribs are distributed radially on a peripheral surface of the lamination stack and extend between the proximal and distal cast end rings. Cast feed members extend axially from the proximal cast end ring and are respectively positioned radially between an adjacent pair of axial ribs. In one example, cast bar segments integral to the proximal and distal cast end rings are formed in axial slots of the lamination stack. In one example, a bar insert in each axial slot has insert ends that extend respectively from the proximal and distal end faces of the lamination stack and are fully encapsulated respectively in the proximal and distal cast end rings. A method of forming the rotor casting is provided.

    摘要: The invention relates to a cage rotor for an asynchronous machine (1) comprising starting bars for improving the starting behavior. The invention further relates to a method for producing such a cage rotor. In order to achieve as great an efficiency as possible, the cage rotor comprises a laminated rotor core (2) having grooves (3) and operating bars (5; 6; 7; 8; 15) disposed in the grooves (3) and contacting the laminated rotor core (2) directly on the inner groove base as seen in the radial direction of the cage rotor, wherein the operating bars (5; 6; 7; 8; 15) comprise partial cladding (9; 10; 11) enclosing an outer surface of the operating bars (5; 6; 7; 8; 15) as seen in the radial direction (12) of the cage rotor, wherein the material of the operating bars (5; 6; 7; 8; 15) comprises a greater specific conductivity than the material of the partial cladding (9; 10; 11).

    摘要: A method for forming a rotor for an induction motor includes providing a rotor core including a plurality of conductor bar grooves having first and second ends corresponding to first and second ends of the rotor core wherein the conductor bar grooves are progressively larger closer to the ends of the conductor bar grooves. The rotor core is placed into a casting mold, and molten metal is introduced into a first end of the casting mold. The molten metal flows from the first end of the casting mold through the plurality of conductor bar grooves to a second end of the casting mold. The molten metal solidifies to form conductor bars in the plurality of conductor bar grooves and to form shorting rings across exterior portions of the end elements within the first and second ends of the casting mold.
