摘要： In certain embodiments of the present disclosure, a water filter assembly for a refrigerator is described. The water filter assembly includes a door that includes a mover element for engaging a removable water filter such that in the closed position the mover element holds the removable water filter water inlet and water outlet in fluid communication with the water inlet and water outlet, respectively, of a manifold assembly, and in the open position the mover element allows for removal of the removable water filter which is not in fluid communication with the manifold assembly.

摘要： A method of installing a filter unit includes aligning a filter unit into a filter head assembly. The filter unit includes a laterally extending key member and an engagement protrusion. The engagement protrusion includes a first portion that has a first radius of curvature and a second portion opposing the first portion that has a second radius of curvature larger than the first radius of curvature. The laterally extending key member is aligned into a key slot in the filter head assembly. An engagement surface is aligned on the filter unit into a complementary engagement surface on the filter head assembly. The filter unit is rotatingly inserted into the filter head assembly. The laterally extending key member shifts an interference member on the filter head assembly from an interference position, wherein the filter unit cannot sealingly engage the filter head assembly, to a non-interference position, wherein the filter unit can sealingly engage the filter head assembly.

摘要： Embodiments of the technology disclosed herein include disposable filter cartridges for use with a water dispenser that dispenses hot water, flavored water, and chilled, sparkling water. An exemplary filter cartridge may be assembled by screwing or inserting a filter into filter cap until the filter cap engages a lock, such as an agnail lock, on the filter. Once engaged, the lock permanently secures the filter to the filter cap without adhesives, heat treatment, or curing. The filter cartridge includes one or more protrusions, or partial flanges, that twist into a recess formed by an injection-molded, two-piece locking assembly affixed to the water dispenser. Twisting the filter cartridge to a predetermined angle with respect to the locking assembly locks the filter cartridge into place. In some embodiments, the locking assembly and the filter cartridge audibly “click” or “snap” to indicate that they are secured together.

摘要： A draw latch retainer is used to secure a filter cartridge to a filter head. A cam actuated retainer extends from the head to engage a keeper in the top of the cartridge. Rotation of the cam draws the retainer and cartridge axially toward the head into an installed position. The retainer extends through an aperture in the upper portion of the cartridge to apply a retention force against the bottom side of the keeper. The keeper and upper portion of the cartridge supporting the keeper are configured to transmit the retaining force laterally across the top of the cartridge. A pair of axial conduits project from the cartridge and mount O-ring seals for implementing an axial sealing interface with passages in the head.

摘要： Provided are filtration devices for purifying fluids from bioprocess applications and processes for using the same. The fluid filter elements or cells and fluid filter assemblies or capsules minimize upstream and residual volumes by the use of substantially flat interior surfaces. Desired pressure ratings are also met without the use of external equipment. Such capsules and assemblies can be disposable. The cells and capsules are in particular suitable for intermediate filtration volumes (150-2500 cm2 effective filtration area (EFA)) of biopharmaceutical processes. One or more of the following features are also provided by these cells and capsules: ergonomic connections, stand alone device with desired pressure rating, offer a small footprint when running in series or parallel, ability to monitor fluid level during operation, provide various EFA sizes to allow for use with minimal fluid volumes, and offer an integral seal between clean and dirty process fluid streams.

摘要： A liquid filter has a housing with an outlet line for liquid and a vent line, one being arranged in a drain housing socket on the housing. A closure element closes off outlet line and vent line. An annular space socket coaxially surrounds the drain housing socket outwardly and delimits with the drain housing socket an annular space to which the vent line or the outlet line is connected. The closure element has a collecting pot with bottom and a closure socket arranged at the bottom that fits within the annular space and is coaxially attached to the drain housing socket for axial movement. A sealing area on the bottom externally surrounds the drain housing socket. When the closure element is closed, the sealing area seals a free end face of the annular space socket. The fluid collecting pot has a liquid drain opening outside of the sealing area.

摘要： A filter and its holder each have a keyed surface, one being a protruding “key” and one being a recessed “lock,” wherein cooperation of these keyed surfaces is required in order for the filter to be installed in the holder. Modification/adaptation of the keyed surfaces, by changing the location, number and length of the key protrusions and cooperating recesses during manufacture, allows various sets of mating filters and holders to be produced so that only mating/matching filters and holders may be connected together. The keyed protrusions are preferably located on an upper shoulder or on protruding flange(s) of the upper end of the filter. The cooperating recess structure inside the filter holder comprises axial recesses that allow axial insertion of the key protrusions, and hence the filter, into the holder and also a circumferential recesses portion that receives multiple key protrusions to retain the filter in the holder. This way, multiple key protrusions slide into and are retained in a single circumferential recess/slot, rather than each key protrusion being received in its own separate circumferential recess/slot.
