Abstract:
Methods, systems, and machine-readable media are disclosed for tracking and reporting information related to compliance with a set of security requirements by one or more entities handling financial transaction information. According to one embodiment, a system can comprise one or more acquirer systems, each adapted to process information related to a plurality of financial transactions for entities involved in the transaction. A tracking and reporting system can be communicatively coupled with each of the acquirer systems. The tracking and reporting system can be adapted to collect at least a subset of the information related to the plurality of financial transactions, collect compliance information related to the entities involved in the transaction, the compliance information for each entity indicating that entity's compliance with the set of security requirements, and generate one or more reports based on the information related to the plurality of financial transactions and the compliance information.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for authenticating mobile device communications. A mobile device to which a message will be communicated may be identified. Based upon a shared secret between a service provider and the mobile device, a payload authentication code (“PAC”) may be generated, and the generated PAC may be associated with a payload for the message. The message and the generated PAC may then be communicated to the mobile device, and the mobile device may be configured to utilize the shared secret to verify the PAC and authenticate the message. In certain embodiments, the operations of the method may be performed by one or more computers associated with the service provider.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are described for transferring funds from a sender to a recipient. Source funds are received from a sender. An amount of recipient funds is determined from a value of the source funds. A transfer identifier associated with the recipient funds is generated and provided to the sender. The transfer identifier is received from the recipient, prompting a transfer in control of the recipient funds to the recipient. At least one of the source funds and the recipient funds are in the form of one or more electronic tokens. Each such electronic token has a currency amount and a digital signature identifying a financial institution that backs the electronic token for the currency amount.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for electronic commerce using a dynamic checkout and/or group gifting are provided. The dynamic checkout process can be integrated with a social platform electronic commerce experience allowing a user to select a single gift, multiple gifts, and/or to create a basket of goods to send to one or multiple recipients. The dynamic checkout allows the user to select the desired recipient(s) before, after, or intermixed with selecting the offers and/or creating the basket of goods. These offers or products can be purchased by the user with a single payment which will be appropriately apportioned to the merchants based on the products purchased. Once the payment has been successfully processed, an electronic delivery or a physical delivery of the goods or products will occur.
Abstract:
The invention provides the ability to evaluate transaction activity of customers following the redemption of a promotion, such as the redemption of a prepaid instrument, coupon, or the like. For example, the subsequent activity could be where customers shopped after redeeming a coupon. Examples of such reports that could be generated include the percentage of redeemers who returned to the same merchant or who went elsewhere. In some cases, customers could do both, or neither and the reports could indicate such activity. Further reports could show the amount spent for each return visit (both for those who return and go elsewhere), as well as the percentage who shop only with the merchant, and nowhere else.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for generating a test bed from an input data set that has multiple data elements. A development program, which includes multiple decision points, is executed using each of the data elements as input to the development program in a sequence. For each decision point, execution of the decision point by at least one of the data elements is identified. Those identified data elements are assigned for identification in the test bed.
Abstract:
An electronic transaction method, funds transfer apparatus and method for facilitating a funds transfer. The methods comprise sending information from a purchaser or payor to a funds transfer system separate from a vendor system or payee, validating and confirming personal financial information at the funds transfer system, and transferring funds from a purchaser or payor account to the vendor or a payee account without exposing either party's financial and account information to the other. Additionally, a funds transfer apparatus is disclosed comprising connections to a payor and payee system and mechanisms for receiving and validating party and transaction information and a mechanism for transferring funds from one party to the other.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for preparing radio-frequency devices for secure distribution. Multiple such radio-frequency devices are received. Each device has an embedded radio-frequency transponder. Each radio-frequency devices is moved sequentially to stations of a preparation device. At a first station, a radio-frequency identification code assigned to the radio-frequency device is encoded to personalize the radio-frequency device with recipient-specific radio-frequency identification data. At a second station, the radio-frequency devices is packaged within a package such that the radio-frequency device within the package is electromagnetically shielded at radio frequencies.
Abstract:
Advanced card machines and associated card merge methods are provided. A form may be provided from a first supply of forms to a first track that is configured to advance the form. A foldable payment card may be selected from a second supply of foldable payment cards, wherein the selection of the payment card does not result in the payment card being folded. The selected payment card may be advanced, without folding the payment card, along a second track to a position in which the payment card is supplied to the form Additionally, an adhesive may be applied to one of the form or the payment card, and the adhesive may attach the payment card to the form when the payment card is supplied to the form.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for secure transaction management are provided. Embodiments include a method for providing secure transactions that include receiving an identifier of a financial account at a payment processor system. A token may be generated that is linked with the identifier of the financial account at the payment processor system. The identifier of the financial account and the token may be stored securely at the payment processor system. The token may be transmitted without the identifier of the financial account to at least a recipient system or a recipient device where the token replaces the identifier of the financial account.
