    摘要: Application mobility is a unique feature of the edge computing to support relocation of application instance across edge computing hosts or between edge computing host and cloud computing over underlying mobile network. With the active-standby mode application instance implementation with support of L2 networks, the application mobility could achieve the service continuity with low latency switching time. An application mobility mechanism can be implemented in the data plane of edge computing host under the control of edge computing platform and management. It can be also implemented in L2 switching function of the User Plane Function in 5G networks.

The method comprises: when a sending terminal needs to send a plurality of 1x messages to a receiving terminal through a non-1x network, carrying the plurality of 1x messages in one message. With the technical solution of the disclosure, the problem that it is unable to ensure that a plurality of 1x Layer3 messages is transmitted synchronously under the related inter-working situation and the problem of the processing time sequence of messages are solved.

    摘要: Techniques for wireless communications include operating first and second access networks to provide wireless service to wireless devices. The first and second access networks are associated with respective first and second gateways. The first gateway is operated to (1) receive a request for transferring wireless service of a wireless device from the second access network to the first access network and (2) send a message that includes key information to the second gateway based on the request. The second gateway is operated to (1) send session context information to the first gateway in response to the message and (2) forward a data packet associated with the wireless device to the first gateway. The forwarded data packet includes a packet data network identifier (PDN-ID) to identify a packet data network (PDN) associated with a downlink data packet.

The two or more subscriber identities can include a first subscriber identity and a second, different subscriber identity. Transmitting the paging message can include using, during a paging cycle based on the paging cycle structure, a single paging slot to transmit the paging message, where the single paging slot is associated with the two or more subscriber identities.

    摘要: Techniques and systems that provide timer based registration for efficiently registering access terminals with a wireless network are described. A timer is provided for an access terminal to register with the network. When the timer expires, the access terminal performs a timer based registration process if a currently serving base station is not the same as a base station that serves the access terminal when the access terminal completes the last timer based registration process, and avoids performing another timer based registration process if the currently serving base station is the same as a base station that serves the access terminal when the access terminal completes the last timer based registration process. The access terminal resets the timer if the currently serving base station is the same as a base station that served the access terminal when the access terminal completes the last timer based registration process.
