Abstract: A system described herein may provide for the tracking and/or calculating of performance metrics associated with a network by marking traffic and determining performance characteristics of the marked traffic. Such performance characteristics or metrics may include throughput, latency, jitter, and/or other metrics. The marking may be performed on “user” traffic, which may be traffic that is generated or sent via the network by an application or service (e.g., a voice call service, a content streaming service, etc.), as opposed to “synthetic” or “test” traffic, which is traffic that is generated or sent for the purposes of testing performance of the network (e.g., traffic related to a “speed test” or the like).

Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for the discovery and connection of Mesh Distributed Units (“MDUs”), which may establish a mesh topology and perform wireless backhaul of data between a core network and a User Equipment (“UE”). Multiple MDUs in an MDU network may be connected to establish an MDU route. One or more connected MDUs may broadcast an indication that the MDU is available to connect, one or more performance metrics, or an MDU performance score based on performance metrics. This broadcast may iteratively repeat in order to refine the mesh network topology in an ongoing process.

The device may communicate with a distributed unit or a centralized unit of the network to cause the alteration to the HARQ configuration.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for assigning user equipment to frequency bands on multiband advanced wireless communication networks. The system may include a multiband controller configured to obtain signal quality indicators from user equipment devices for signals received by the user equipment devices from a first remote radio head for a first frequency band having a maximum frequency greater than 24 GHz and a second remote radio head having a minimum frequency at least 2 GHz greater than the maximum frequency, and in response to the signal quality indicators, issue a command to a user equipment device included in the user equipment devices and operating in the first frequency band to switch to operating in the second frequency band.

Abstract: A device may include a processor configured to receive a request to establish a communication session or data flow for a user equipment (UE) device connected to a Radio Access Network (RAN). The processor may be further configured to obtain key performance indicators (KPI) information relating to one or more KPIs for a plurality of paths in a transport network used by the RAN to connect to a core network; determine a KPI requirement for the communication session or data flow to be established; select a path in the transport network based on the obtained KPI information and the determined KPI requirement; and establish the communication session or data flow in the transport network using the selected path.

Abstract: A network device obtains a Physical Layer Cell Identifier (PCI) pool for allocating to ad-hoc mobile Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) nodes traversing a wireless network. The network device selects a first PCI for allocation to a first ad-hoc mobile IAB node located in the wireless network based on PCIs contained in the PCI pool, and allocates the first PCI to the first ad-hoc mobile IAB node. The network device pushes the allocated first PCI to the first ad-hoc mobile IAB node for use by the first ad-hoc mobile IAB node to establish User Equipment (UE) wireless access to the wireless network via wireless backhaul.

Abstract: A system described herein may register a particular radio access network (“RAN”)-based interface, such as a R1 interface, with a RAN, such as an Open-RAN (“O-RAN”). The system may further be associated with a particular Service-Based Interface (“SBI”) of a core network that includes a plurality of network functions (“NFs”), where each NF is associated with a respective SBI. The system may receive, via the particular SBI, a request for RAN information from one or more NFs of the core network, obtain the RAN information from the RAN via the particular interface, output the requested RAN information to the one or more NFs of the core network via the particular SBI. Associating the system with the SBI may be performed without modifying a Network Repository Function (“NRF”) of the core network.
