摘要： A ceiling fan includes a motor for rotating multiple blades. This motor includes a hollow shaft that is disposed upright on the center of a disc-like stator, and a rotor around an outer periphery of the stator. The rotor integrally rotates with the blades. This motor further includes a cylindrical bearing housing, and a pair of upper ball bearing and a lower ball bearing housed in this bearing housing. This bearing housing has a base in its center. The upper ball bearing is disposed over the base, and the lower ball bearing is disposed under the base in this bearing housing. Both bearings are fixed onto the hollow shaft.

摘要： A magneto-optical recording medium has a recording layer and a reflective layer on a substrate. The recording layer has a layered structure in which at least one spinel ferrite (or rutile-type oxide or hematite) layer and at least one garnet ferrite layer are piled together. It is preferable that the layered structure is formed on tracks where data are recorded. A manufacturing method comprises the steps of heat treatment in the range of 500-700° C., preferably 600-630° C., after the formation of the recording layer. In the magneto-optical recording and playback device to record and play back data, the wavelength of light for recording data is different from that for reading data, which is preferable for a magneto-optical recording medium comprising a garnet ferrite layer.

摘要： A method and apparatus for forming a fluid dynamic pressure groove in a fluid dynamic pressure bearing is provided. The method is accomplished by initially positioning and securing multiple workpieces to be machined to their respective machining devices. An electrochemical dissolving effect is imparted to each target surface of the multiple workpieces and then at least one fluid dynamic pressure groove is formed on each target surface of the multiple workpieces. Each groove may have a specified shape, dimension and surface condition. An electrolyte is directed from a common electrolyte tank to each of the machining devices used on the multiple workpieces.
