Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first set of one or more signals and a second set of one or more signals, the first set of one or more signals indicating a first code value associated with a physical cell identifier (PCI), and the second set of one or more signals indicating a second code value associated with the PCI. The UE may receive, based at least in part on the first code value and the second code value, a third set of one or more signals indicating a third code value associated with the PCI. The UE may communicate one or more wireless communications with a first cell according to a physical cell identity of the first cell, where the physical cell identity is encoded by the first code value, the second code value, and the third code value.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for fast physical cell identifier (PCI) conflict detection are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, via a serving cell, a first set of one or more signals indicating a first PCI of the serving cell. After receiving the first set of one or more signals, the UE may receive a control message indicating that the first PCI of the serving cell is changing to a second PCI. The UE may monitor for a second set of one or more signals indicating the second PCI based at least in part on the control message. The UE may receive the second set of one or more signals indicating the second PCI based on the control message, and communicate one or more messages with the serving cell based on the second PCI.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network-controlled repeater (NCR) node may obtain measurements related to backhaul links between the NCR node and network nodes that forward radio frequency (RF) signals through the NCR node and to an access link between the NCR node and a user equipment (UE). The end-to-end link quality between the UE and each network node may be estimated (for example, by the NCR node or a current serving cell) in accordance with the measurements and a gain and/or transmit power used to forward RF signals, and the current serving cell may use the estimated end-to-end link quality to arrive at handover decisions for the UE.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication by a UE includes receiving, from a network node, a first message indicating at least a first discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration associated with a DRX cycle at the network node. The DRX cycle may be enabled or disabled in accordance with whether the first DRX configuration is in an activated state. The method also includes receiving, from the network node, a second message indicating a group of uplink (UL) transmission configurations including at least a first UL configuration associated with the activated state of the first DRX configuration and a second UL configuration associated with the deactivated state of the first DRX configuration. The method further includes transmitting, to the network node, a third message in accordance with the first UL configuration in accordance with first DRX configuration being activated or the second UL configuration in accordance with first DRX configuration being deactivated.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node may determine a set of restricted IAB-DU beams that are not to be used by the IAB-DU while a mobile termination function of the IAB node is using one or more IAB-MT beams. The determination is based on measurements related to interference caused by simultaneous operations of the IAB-DU and IAB-MT in multiplexing modes. The IAB node transmits signaling that indicates the restricted IAB-DU beams and associates the set with the IAB-MT beams. Additionally or alternatively, an IAB node can receive such signaling from a parent node, perform operations using the IAB-MT beams, and simultaneously perform operations using certain IAB-DU beams not included in the set of restricted beams. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication, configuration, or adaptation of a triggering condition. The UE may evaluate a performance effect based, at least in part, on the triggering condition. The UE may initiate a handover procedure from a source cell to a target cell based, at least in part, on the performance effect. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques described herein support transitioning the radio resource control (RRC) state of a network controlled repeater (NCR). A distributed unit (DU) and a central unit (CU) may coordinate the release and resumption of the RRC connection of the NCR. The CU may transmit a control signal to the DU indicating to release the RRC connection of the NCR. The control signal may include a flag, such as an identifier of the NCR, and the DU may retain the identifier of the NCR. The DU may transmit a message indicating a release of the RRC connection to the NCR. The DU may coordinate the resumption of the RRC connection of the NCR by transmitting a second message to the CU. The second message may include a request to initiate a paging of the NCR and may include the identifier of the NCR.
