    Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for sidelink control information forwarding for sensing procedure are disclosed herein. An example method of wireless communication at a forwarding user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a forwarded UE, control information, and transmitting, to a sensing UE, a forward message including the control information and information associated with the forwarded UE. An example method of wireless communication at the sensing UE includes receiving, from the forwarding UE, a forward message including the control information containing a first measurement of the control information. The example method also includes obtaining a second measurement of the forward message and determining a ratio of the second measurement to the first measurement. The example method also includes selecting a specific resource based on the ratio and whether the forwarding UE is an intended receiver for the sensing UE or the forwarding UE intends to receive from the forwarded UE.

A method at a first user equipment (UE) device may comprise sending or receiving, via a sidelink channel, a ranging signal between the first UE device and a second UE device. The method may further comprise obtaining at least one ranging measurement based on the sending or receiving the ranging signal between the first UE device and a second UE device. A wireless device, such as a radar device, a UE, a base station, a vehicle, etc., may detect a congestion level of a wireless communication environment that includes the wireless device. The wireless device may transmit, based on the congestion level exceeding a threshold, a radar signal that corresponds to the wireless device having at least one of a second FOV or a second range in the wireless communication environment that is smaller than the at least one of the first FOV or the first range.

    Abstract: A sidelink user equipment (UE) limits sensing of received sidelink communications during a sensing window. The UE selects resources for a future transmission from a resource pool that is based on the sensed received sidelink communications. The UE also sends the future transmission on the selected resources. Limiting sensing may result from reducing a maximum distance between reservations to less than 32 logical slots. Limiting sensing may be sensing with a reduced sensing duty cycle with discontinuous sensing or sensing for a period of time in response to a trigger. The UE may perform partial sensing for periodic traffic, and limit sensing for aperiodic traffic.

    Abstract: A user equipment in a vehicle (V-UE) may transmit ranging signals, for example positioning reference signals (PRS), via inter-vehicle messages. The broadcast parameters for the ranging signals, such as the timing of transmission, the bandwidth, or a combination thereof, may be adjusted based on one or more motion characteristics of the vehicle. If high speed or large acceleration, or rate of turning, is detected, the rate of transmission and/or the resource blocks included in the ranging signals may be increased. By increasing the rate of transmission and/or recourse blocks in the ranging signals, other vehicles receiving the ranging signals may update the range more often and with greater accuracy for increased safety while the transmitting vehicle is traveling at high speeds or acceleration.

    Abstract: A user equipment in a vehicle (v-UE) may transmit ranging signals, sometimes referred to as physical ranging signals (PRS), via inter-vehicle messages. The vehicle may be designated as a representative of a cluster of vehicles, e.g., in a vehicle platoon, and may broadcast and receive PRS on behalf of the cluster, while no other vehicles in the cluster broadcast PRS. PRS received from single representative vehicle in a separate cluster may be used to determine the inter-cluster distance between the two clusters. If the inter-cluster distance falls below a predetermined threshold, the v-UE may instruct all other vehicles in its cluster to begin broadcasting PRS, so that each vehicle can determine its distance to all other vehicles. Accordingly, the overhead due to broadcast PRS may be minimized until, e.g., accurate positioning between vehicles is warranted.
