Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform channel state information measurements on reference signal transmissions from a base station. The UE may identify a set of cross layer coefficients associated with a set of spatial layers based on the channel state information measurements. The UE may additionally identify a set of precoding coefficients associated with a spatial layer from the set of spatial layers. In some implementations, the set of precoding coefficients may be based on the set of cross layer coefficients. In some examples, the UE may transmit the set of cross layer coefficients and the set of precoding coefficients to the base station.

In some aspects, a user equipment may receive a signaling communication that includes information specifying whether a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) precoding resource block group includes a same quantity of resource blocks (RBs) that is included in a CSI reporting subband configured for the UE. The CSI-RS precoding resource block group may enable the UE to perform a channel estimation based at least in part on a CSI-RS transmitted by a base station. The UE may perform the channel estimation based at least in part on the CSI-RS transmitted by the base station. The channel estimation may be based at least in part on whether the CSI-RS precoding resource block group includes the same quantity of RBs that is included in the CSI reporting subband configured for the UE. Abstract: A base station may determine co-phase information and uplink precoding information (e.g., user equipment (UE) precoder information) based on one or more received sounding reference signals (SRSs) from a UE. The UE may adjust precoders or co-phase for different SRS transmissions over the one or more configured SRS resources. As such, the base station may indicate either co-phase information or uplink precoding information via an SRS resource indicator (SRI), and may transmit an explicit indication of the remaining co-phase information or uplink precoding information in addition to the SRI. In other examples (e.g., when only a single SRS resource is configured), the base station may transmit an index corresponding to uplink precoding information, as well as a separate indication of co-phase information. In some cases, a port selection pattern may be included with an explicit indication, indicating a selection of antenna port indices the precoder or co-phase index applies to.

The device may identify an adjusted bit index set for the polar code based at least in part on the IR-HARQ scheme. The device may transmit (or receive), for each transmission of the information bit vector, a respective subset of encoded bits generated by mapping the information bit vector to a set of polarized bit channels of the polar code in accordance with the bit index set.
