Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for multiplexing clients of different generations in trigger-based transmissions, including trigger-based transmissions in extremely-high throughput (EHT) Wi-Fi systems. An access point (AP) may generate a trigger frame compatible with two types of stations (STAs), such as EHT STAs and legacy (or high efficiency (HE)) STAs. The AP may transmit the trigger frame to a group of STAs, where legacy STAs may process the trigger frame a legacy trigger frame. EHT STAs may process the trigger frame to determine resource unit (RU) allocations for uplink transmissions in a bandwidth greater than a legacy bandwidth. An EHT STA may determine the resources in the larger bandwidth based on an EHT RU allocation table, a legacy RU allocation table and an additional bit in the trigger frame, or an ordering of RU allocations in the trigger frame.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for signaling and generating an enhanced random access frame in a wireless network are provided. One aspect of this disclosure provides a method of wireless communication. The method includes receiving, at a first device, a first frame from a second device indicating one or more frequency bandwidths available for random access by the first device. The method further includes transmitting, at the first device, a second frame to the second device in response to the first frame, the second frame comprising an indication of an identifier of the first device and indicating a selection of at least one frequency bandwidth of the one or more frequency bandwidths, the second frame not including a medium access control (MAC) payload data portion.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and computer program products for traffic information signaling in a wireless communications network are disclosed. In one aspect, a method of wireless communication network is disclosed. The method includes selecting, from a variable number of control fields, one or more control fields for inclusion in a frame. The method further includes generating the frame comprising the selected number of control fields, each control field comprising an end of control field, the end of control field storing an indicator indicative of an end of the selected number of control fields or a presence of another control field in the frame. The method further includes transmitting the frame.

Abstract: In a particular embodiment, a method includes determining, at a first mobile device, a post-discovery communication technique for communicating within a mobile device cluster after a discovery interval. During the discovery interval, a discovery message may be sent. The discovery message indicates the post-discovery communication protocol for communicating within the mobile device cluster after the discovery interval. The discovery message may further indicate a time interval for sending and receiving a paging request. In response to the receipt of the discovery message a second mobile devices may send a paging request, the paging request including a security information request. The method further includes sending from the first mobile device a paging response including security information and exchanging one or more post-discovery communications with the second mobile device using the security information.

Access point (AP) controlled uplink RTS/CTS configuration and disablement

Abstract: The present disclosure provides techniques for configuring the utilization of request-to-send/clear-to-send (RTS/CTS) protocol procedures based on varying conditions at the STA. For example, an AP may identify one or more conditions, when satisfied, may trigger the STA to either enable or disable uplink (UL) transmissions associated with a RTS/CTS protocol procedure. In some aspects, an AP may determine a transmit opportunity (TXOP) threshold for an STA and may determine whether to broadcast a message having the TXOP threshold to multiple STAs including the STA or unicast the message to the STA. An STA may receive a message from an AP having a TXOP threshold and may replace, based on an indication in the received message, a current TXOP threshold in the STA with the TXOP threshold in the received message. The STA may transmit an UL RTS frame in response to a determination that a planned TXOP duration satisfies the TXOP threshold.

Abstract: Transfer of Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Services (MBMS) over a Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) service and idle mode unicast service for a mobile entity from a source base station to a target base station may be managed by a base station or mobile entity of a cellular wireless communications system (WCS). Operations related to the transfer may include obtaining an MBMS status of the mobile entity, and/or obtaining MBMS support information for the base station. A network entity may facilitate MBMS discovery by a mobile entity, by transmitting a data element to the mobile entity including service identifiers mapped to corresponding cell identifiers to indicate respective MBMS services to be broadcast in an WCS area on adjacent cells identified by respective ones of the cell identifiers. The MBMS services may be broadcast within the WCS area using the adjacent cells previously indicated in the data element.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may be a first user terminal. The first user terminal receives, on a first DL communication channel of multiple DL communication channels, a DL MU PPDU includes MPDUs transmitted from an access point to multiple user terminals including the first user terminal on the multiple DL communication channels. The first user terminal obtains an UL channel indication and a BA indication. The first user terminal transmits, on a first UL communication channel of multiple UL communication channels, a first BA to the access point based on the UL channel indication and the BA indication simultaneously or concurrently with a BA transmission from the rest of the multiple user terminals to the access point on the rest of the multiple UL communication channels. The first BA acknowledges one or more of the MPDUs.
