Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first downlink control information (DCI) message indicating a first listen-before-talk (LBT) grant for accessing a sidelink channel, the first DCI being associated with a first search space of the UE. The UE may then receive a second DCI message indicating a second LBT grant for accessing the channel or an uplink channel, the second DCI being associated with a second search space of the UE and including an activation trigger for the first LBT grant of the first DCI. The UE may then perform a first LBT procedure to access the sidelink channel in accordance with the first LBT grant during a first channel occupancy time (COT). The UE may further perform a second LBT procedure to access the uplink channel during the first COT.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, on an access link from a base station, a first downlink control information (DCI) that schedules a first communication on a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) and a second DCI that schedules a second communication on the PSSCH. The first communication and the second communication may be scheduled according to a rule for overlapping or ordering communications on the PSSCH that are associated with one or more hybrid automatic repeat request identifiers. The UE may transmit the first communication and the second communication as scheduled. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to multiple starting points for new radio sidelink transmission over unlicensed band are provided. In some aspects, a UE may perform a channel access procedure to access a first physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) transmission resource of an unlicensed new radio spectrum. In some aspects, the first PSSCH transmission resource may be reserved by a control message and may include a plurality of transmission starting points. Further, the first UE may transmit first data to a second UE via the first PSSCH transmission resource starting at a later transmission starting point than one or more prior transmission starting points of the plurality of transmission starting points when the performing the channel access procedure fails at each of the one or more prior transmission starting points.

Abstract: In one aspect, a method of wireless communication includes transmitting, by a user equipment (UE), a first transmission in a first Channel Occupancy Time (COT) for a NR-U sidelink channel. The method also includes reserving, by the UE, a resource in a non-shared portion of a second COT and performing, by the UE, a Listen-Before-Talk (LBT) Category (CAT) 4 operation at a start of the second COT, wherein the second COT is associated with the UE. The method includes performing, by the UE, a continuous transmission operation in the second COT based on successfully performing the LBT CAT 4 operation. The method further includes transmitting, by the UE, a second transmission in the reserved resource of the non-shared portion of the second COT based on successfully performing a second LBT CAT 1 or 2 operation. Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for sidelink control signaling using unlicensed spectrum. Wireless devices may perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure before accessing a channel of the unlicensed spectrum, and may be unable to access the unlicensed spectrum in some circumstances. In some implementations, a wireless device may leverage resources available for transmitting a sidelink synchronization signal block (S-SSB) for additionally transmitting control signaling. For example, a wireless device may multiplex (such as frequency domain multiplexing) a control signal with a S-SSB, which may be transmitted in accordance with a relaxed LBT threshold. In some implementations, the control signal may include information such as an indication of LBT failure or an LBT status, or may be used to detect a radio link failure (RLF), or may be used the short control signal to synchronize sidelink clusters, among other examples.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first sidelink control information (SCI) message during a mini-slot of a control resource pool which is decoupled from a data resource pool for sidelink communications. The first SCI message may indicate a data message to be transmitted on a subchannel of the data resource pool to a second UE, where resources between the control resource pool and the data resource pool are mapped. The UE may receive a feedback message from the second UE for the first SCI message during a second mini-slot of the control resource pool. The feedback message may indicate whether a collision or strong interference was detected for the first SCI message. The UE may determine whether to transmit the data message or retransmit the first SCI message based on the feedback message.
