In some aspects, a first device may generate a request for energy from a second device that is capable of charging the first device in association with energy harvesting.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support signaling for energy harvesting at a first device. In some examples, the first device may transmit, to a second device, an indication of one or more an energy conversion efficiency factors, power threshold parameters, power levels, battery power levels, or the like. Based on receiving the indication of the one or more of the characteristics, the second device may determine a radio frequency power for subsequent signaling. The second device may transmit a signal having the determined radio frequency power, and the first device may receive the signaling and convert at least a first portion of the radio frequency power to direct current (DC) power.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network entity may configure a mapping between a set of power states and a set of codepoints. The network entity may indicate the mapping to a user equipment (UE) via control signaling, such as a first control message. Each power state may correspond to a respective directional communication profile associated with the network entity, the UE, or both. The network entity may transmit a second control message to the UE to indicate a codepoint from the set of codepoints. The UE device may transition to a power state that corresponds to the codepoint (e.g., based on the mapping) in accordance with the second control message. In some examples, the network entity may indicate the codepoint in a field of the second control message associated with a search space set group (SSSG) switching indication.

    Abstract: The apparatus may be configured to receive a first indication of a CFR associated with at least one of an MCCH or an MTCH for a plurality of RedCap UEs in one of an inactive or idle state supporting a first capability having a first maximum bandwidth that is different from a second capability having a second maximum bandwidth that is greater than the first maximum bandwidth. The apparatus may also be configured to monitor the CFR indicated in the first indication for at least one of broadcast traffic or multicast traffic. The apparatus may be configured to output, for transmission to the plurality of RedCap UEs, the first indication and output, for transmission to the plurality of RedCap UEs, at least one of an MCCH communication or an MTCH communication via the CFR indicated in the first indication for at least one of broadcast traffic or multicast traffic.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring RIS components in order to achieve a certain object. According to certain aspects, a first device may participate in a first training procedure to obtain a set of channel estimates corresponding to different paths between a second device and the first device involving reflections from different reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) components, participate in a second training procedure, using the set of channel estimates, to obtain a combining vector of coefficients to configure the RIS components based on at least one objective, and communicate with the second device with the RIS components configured according to the combining vector.
