    Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for notification delivery are disclosed. One example method for notification delivery comprises: at a network function including at least one processor: receiving a first message indicating that first notification data is available for a first notification receiver; determining, during an overload or congestion condition, that a computed priority value for a first notification message associated with the first message indicates an acceptable priority value for delivery during the overload or congestion condition, wherein the computed priority value is computed using a first priority value associated with the first notification message and a minimum priority value and a maximum priority value associated with the first notification receiver and/or a first service type; and sending the first notification message to the first notification receiver.

    Abstract: A method for updating network function profiles in a telecommunications network includes registering, by a producer network function, a network function profile with a network function repository function (NRF), the network function profile specifying at least one serving scope or discoverable parameters by consumer NFs. The method includes determining that a load level of the producer network function has exceeded a first threshold. The method includes, in response to determining that the load level of the producer network function has exceeded the first threshold, updating the network function profile at the NRF to reduce the serving scope.

    Abstract: A method for rules-based overload control for 5G services includes configuring, at an intermediate or a producer network function (NF), overload message handing rules, wherein at least some of the rules include destination network name (DNN), network subscription, network location, or a network slice identifying parameter or any parameter/attribute defined by 3GPP/vendor as rule selection criteria. The method includes a guaranteed processing bandwidth of the intermediate or producer NF with at least some of the overload message handling rules, receiving a first message at the intermediate or producer NF, determining that an overload condition exists, identifying that the first message includes parameters that match the rule selection criteria for one of the overload message handling rules, determining, that a portion of the guaranteed processing bandwidth of the intermediate or producer NF for the matching overload message handling rule is available to process the first message, processing the first message, and updating a message count for the overload message handling rule.

    Abstract: A method for optimized NF discovery and routing includes, at an SCP, receiving a discovery request message or generating a discovery request message in response to a received service request message with a 3gpp-Sbi-Discovery header. The SCP modifies the discovery request message to identify as unhealthy at least one service endpoint and service name combination associated with at least one producer NF instance capable of providing a service identified in the discovery request message or the service request message The SCP forwards the modified discovery request message to the NRF. The NRF creates a list of service profiles of producer NF instances capable of providing the service identified in the modified discovery request message and excludes, from the list, at least one service profile of the at least one producer NF instance corresponding to the endpoint and service name combinations identified as unhealthy in the modified discovery request message.

    Abstract: A method for network function (NF) topology synchronization includes, at a network node including at least one processor, maintaining NF instance identifiers and corresponding NF profile version identifiers in an NF topology database local to the network node, the NF profile version identifiers indicating most current NF profile versions stored by the network node for each NF instance identifier. The method further includes obtaining a list of NF instance identifiers and NF profile version identifiers from an NF repository function (NRF), accessing the NF topology database, determining, by comparing the NF profile version identifiers in the list with NF profile version identifiers for corresponding NF instance identifiers in the NF topology database, whether the NF profiles stored by the network node are lagging behind the NF profiles stored by the NRF, and auditing or refraining from auditing the NRF for updated NF profiles based on results of the comparison.

    Abstract: A method for handling multiple instances of a service provided by one or more producer network functions (NFs) includes, at a service based architecture (SBA) platform including at least one processor and a memory, obtaining first and second application programming interface (API) version indicators associated with first and second service instances implemented by one or more producer NFs. The method further includes decoding the first and second API version indicators. The method further includes detecting, based on results of the decoding, multiple instances of the same service and that a first service instance is backward compatible with a second service instance. The method further includes implementing canary testing of the first service instance.
