Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are disclosed for implementing recovery from a communication failure. A method includes receiving, by a first user equipment, an indication that a second user equipment has experienced a failure, where the first user equipment and the second user equipment are part of a same device, and where the first user equipment is configured with a first primary reliability group and where the second user equipment is configured with a second primary reliability group; based upon the indication, the first user equipment transmitting to a network equipment a first signal to activate a secondary reliability group for the first user equipment; and receiving, by the first user equipment, a second signal to use the secondary reliability group, where the second signal is at least partially based upon the first signal transmitted from the first user equipment.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for new radio (NR) sidelink (SL) hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback are provided. One method may include monitoring, by a user equipment in sidelink groupcast configured with two stage hybrid automatic repeat request feedback channels, a first stage hybrid automatic repeat request feedback channel when no physical sidelink control channel and physical sidelink shared channel is received. The method may include sending a discontinuous transmission indicator or hybrid automatic repeat request negative acknowledgement on a second stage hybrid automatic repeat request feedback channel when hybrid automatic repeat request positive acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement is monitored on the first stage hybrid automatic repeat request feedback channel.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods in a communication system, are provided. The method comprises controlling (500) communication between a first user terminal and the apparatus and the communication between a second user terminal and the apparatus, wherein the first user terminal acts as a relay by relaying data packets between the apparatus and the second user terminal; determining (502) whether the first user terminal or the transmitting end of data packets in the connection between the apparatus and the second user terminal will buffer data packets addressed to but not successfully received by the receiving end and transmitting (504) an indication regarding the determination to the first user terminal.

Abstract: A technique includes receiving, by a user device, a plurality of semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configurations, each SPS configuration including an SPS identifier and an interval for each of the plurality of SPS configurations; receiving, by the user device, an SPS activation corresponding to each of the plurality of SPS configurations, each SPS activation indicating a set of resources and a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) to be used for transmission of data for the corresponding SPS configuration; determining, by the user device, that a collision will occur for the plurality of SPS configurations during a transmission time interval (TTI); selecting a MCS corresponding to one of the plurality of SPS configurations that have been determined to collide during the TTI; and transmitting, by the user device during the TTI, data using the selected MCS via an aggregated set of SPS resources that includes at least a portion of each of the sets of resources for the plurality of SPS configurations that have been determined to collide during the TTI.
