    Abstract: A technique includes transmitting, by a user device to a base station, an initial uplink transmission; receiving, by the user device from the base station, feedback indicating a continuing transmission mode to be used by the user device to perform a further transmission to the base station, the indicated continuing transmission mode being at least one of a grant-free uplink transmission mode and a grant-based uplink transmission mode that are both supported by the user device; and transmitting, by the user device to the base station, a further transmission via the indicated continuing transmission mode.

    Abstract: First and second level discovery messages for device-to-device discovery are determined to be going to be transmitted, resource(s) are requested for transmission of at least the second level discovery message, and allocated resource(s) of a second type are received.     Abstract: A user equipment UE has a c-plane connection to a macro cell and a u-plane connection to a source local cell. The u-plane connection is handed over to a target local cell while maintaining the c-plane connection so the macro cell can facilitate the u-plane handover. In one embodiment the UE uses coverage information about the source local cell and its own mobility to predict when the handover is needed, and the macro cell can identify which is the target local cell. The handover can occur across a coverage gap between the source and target local cells, where the UE gets synchronization information and a dedicated preamble for the target local cell prior to being in its range. In the examples also path switching and transfer of the UE context can occur prior to the UE being in range of the target local cell.

    Abstract: An apparatus in a network node has circuitry configured for causing a scheduling of an uplink transmission for a first user equipment and a downlink reception for a second user equipment on at least one resource, wherein the at least one resource is at least partially shared between the first user equipment and second user equipment. The apparatus has circuitry configured for providing an instruction, to the first user equipment, to transmit a first signal within the at least one resource. The apparatus also has circuitry configured for providing an instruction, to the second user equipment, to detect the first signal within the at least one resource. The apparatus having further circuitry configured for receiving information, from the second user equipment, wherein the information includes an indication of whether the second user equipment has detected the first signal.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for enhancement of quality of service flows, for extended reality services or other services are proposed. For example, a method can include receiving a plurality of quality of service parameters for first packet-based communication. The quality of service parameters can include a packet delay budget for the first packet-based communication having a first end time. The plurality of quality of service parameters can further include a packet validity time for the first packet-based communication having a second end time equal to or later than the first end time.
