Abstract: A display panel includes: a first substrate; a second substrate; a first alignment film layer provided on the first substrate, wherein the first alignment film is sandwiched between the first substrate and the second substrate; a plurality of protruding regions formed about a perimeter edge portion of the first substrate, wherein the plurality of protruding regions include an associated trench region provided in a plurality thereof, wherein each trench region includes at least one trench, each trench being configured to retain a portion of the first alignment film layer or the second alignment film layer when sandwiched between the first substrate and the second substrate so as to limit shrinkage of the first alignment film layer or the second alignment film layer during operation of the display panel.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of detecting a foreign object on a background object in an image is provided. The computer-implemented method includes extracting image features of the image based on image characteristics of the background object and a suspected foreign object; detecting a salient region in the image based on a human visual attention model; generating a salient region mask based on detection of the salient region; obtaining the image features in a region surrounded by the salient region mask; perforating feature combination and feature vector length normalization on the image features of the region surrounded by the salient region mask to generate normalized feature vectors; and identifying the suspected foreign object using an image classifier, wherein the image classifier uses the normalized feature vectors as input for identifying the suspected foreign object.

Abstract: A thin film transistor includes a gate, an active layer, a source, a drain. The source includes a connecting portion, a first sub-portion, a second sub-portion, and a third sub-portion that are arranged sequentially and in parallel. At first ends of the sub-portions, the connecting portion is connected to the portions to form two adjacent recesses. At second ends of the sub-portions, the distance from an end of the second sub-portion to the connecting portion is smaller than a distance from an end of the first sub-portion to the connecting portion and a distance from an end of the third sub-portion to the connecting portion. The drain includes a connecting block, a first drain and a second drain disposed in the two recesses respectively, and at least a portion of the connecting block is disposed between the first and the second drains to connect the first and the second drains.

The liquid crystal lens includes a first substrate and a second substrate arranged to be opposite to each other, a common electrode being provided on the second substrate; a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates and including liquid crystal molecules; liquid crystal lens units, each of which includes a first group of strip-shaped electrodes and a second group of strip-shaped electrodes parallel to each other and spaced apart thereon, upon applying a voltage among the first and second groups, and the common electrode, a planoconvex lens is formed within the liquid crystal molecules between them, wherein each of the first and second groups includes layers of sub-electrodes insulated from each other, the sub-electrodes of the first and second groups are applied with a voltage, so as to adjust symmetry of the planoconvex lens.
