    摘要: A wireless communication system is provided for rapidly establishing the QoS resource on different communication networks. In this system, the NAP evaluates a network resource used by the MT, and generates the QoS history information unit indicating the evaluation result. The AAA authenticates the QoS history information unit generated by the NAP. The NAP transmits the authenticated QoS history information unit to the MT. The MT request for a resource establishment to the NAP when switching the communicating party from the NAP to the NAP, and transmits the QoS history information unit. The NAP verifies the authenticity of the QoS history information unit to the AAA when receiving the request for resource establishment from the MT and allocates the network resource to the MT based on the QoS history information unit.

    摘要: An address management method is provided, for use when a mobile terminal accesses a service from a WLAN access network, wherein the service is provided in a 3GPP network or in a service provider network via the 3GPP network. First, the mobile terminal connects to the WLAN access network. Second, the mobile terminal sends a tunnel setup request message from the WLAN access network to a network entity located in the 3GPP network, wherein the tunnel setup request message includes a service request identifier for accessing a requested service and a mobile terminal identifier. Third, the network entity receives the tunnel setup request message, and allocates an address for use by the mobile terminal to access the requested service based on the service request identifier and the mobile terminal identifier.

    摘要: A technique for flexibly performing processes depending on the type of a path for providing an additional service when there are a plurality of paths for providing additional services for the same session between terminals communicating with each other over a network is disclosed. According to the technique, when a mobile terminal (MN 100) establishes a QoS path using NSIS to a corresponding node (CN 124) on different types of data communication paths, a signaling message including information (MIE) representing the path type is created and transmitted. Each node (QNE) with an NSIS QoS function, which has received the message, identifies a plurality of QoS paths by comparing the MIE, a session identifier and a flow identifier, and performs processing of the QoS paths according to control information (CI) from MNs or/and the policy which the QNE has.

Upon receiving the notification from the mobility condition determination unit, the multihoming controller transmits, to the MIP controller, an address (Addr2) consonant with the received HoA, and the MIP controller performs packet communication using the HoA or the CoA consonant with the address.

According to this technique, the home agent verifies the legitimacy of the mobile router when it receives a Query message and a binding update message requesting permission to fulfill functions as dynamic home agent. Then, after confirming that no other mobile router is currently present, which is fulfilling the functions as dynamic home agent in a set of a plurality of mobile routers, to which this mobile router belongs, it allows said mobile router to operate as the dynamic home agent. Then, even when other mobile router requests the permission to fulfill functions as the dynamic home agent, the request is rejected, and said other mobile router utilizes the mobile router, which is fulfilling functions of the dynamic home agent, as its home agent.

    摘要: A carrier sense multiple access method capable of improving throughput in a wireless network is disclosed. This method is implemented in a wireless network—for example, a wireless LAN (100)—having an AP (110) that is equipped with a multi-beam antenna (111) that forms a directional beam and that is capable of SDMA, and a STA (120, 130, 140) that communicate with the AP (110). With this method, the AP (110) allots the STA (120 to 140) to a beam group defined by a coverage area of the directional beam, according to the location of the STA (120 to 140). Then, the allocated STA (120 to 140) is assigned a signature signal for group identification, the signature signal being unique to the group.

    摘要: A technique to optimize packet transfer in a network is disclosed. According to this technique, a mobile node (MN) 1000 having a plurality of interfaces transmits a filter rule where setting conditions are defined to each of MAG (motility access gateway) 1060 and MAG 1080 connected for the purpose of setting the packet received by each of the interfaces. MAG transfers the received filter rule to a local mobility anchor (LMA) 1010. After analyzing the filter rule, LMA specifies the network node where the filter rule should be reflected and updates the filter rule only to this specific network node. For instance, in case MN desires that a packet from CN 1090 is received via a path 1002, LMA manages that a packet destined to MN as transmitted from CN is to be transferred to MAG 1060 with respect to MAG 1020.
