The medical fluid delivery system may include a pumping system, a disposable medical fluid line set and a valve operating system. The disposable tubing line set may include valves adapted to interface with the valve operating system. The valve operating system may be adapted to operate only selected valves using a single drive means. The pumping system may be operated over a wide range of medical fluid delivery rates by employing a bi-directional drive member and a transmission interfaced with the drive member and a pump.

    摘要： A liquid spray nozzle configured to provide a relatively uniform droplet size spray having a nozzle body, a flow passage disposed in the nozzle body, a turbulent flow mechanism in the flow passage, a flow separating mechanism in the flow passage and a converging mechanism at the nozzle body outlet. The turbulent flow mechanism, preferably a cylindrical pin, induces turbulent flow to the fluid stream flowing through the passage. The flow separating mechanism, also preferably a cylindrical pin, separates the turbulent flow into two separate, diverging streams. The converging mechanism is configured to direct the two streams together such that the colliding thereof produces a spray made up of substantially uniform sized droplets. Preferably, the converging mechanism is an orifice plate having two outwardly extending deflecting members and a generally oval-shaped opening and the nozzle body is adapted to threadably connect to a hose or other conduit.

    摘要： A flexible, disposable centrifuge bag for receiving and holding a fluid sample, comprising one or more tubes and upper and lower flexible sheets having doughnut shaped configurations. The upper and lower sheets are superimposed and completely sealed together at their outer perimeters to define an outer perimeter of the centrifuge bag. The inner perimeter of the bag defines a central core. The tubes are sandwiched between the upper and lower sheets and extend from the central core of the centrifuge bag. The upper and lower sheets are sealed together at their inner perimeters such that the tubes are sealed between said upper and lower sheets at the inner perimeter. The bag may be used to harvest platelet rich plasma from whole blood in either a batch method or while simultaneously infusing additional aliquots of whole blood into the bag during centrifugation.
