    Abstract: A search-based email client may incorporate a number of useful features. A search function can default to a search of all email contexts, thereby eliminating user cogitation over which context an email message may be stored in. Furthermore, the search function can automatically search for related personal content and/or related information on the internet or other computer network, and present this useful information to the user in addition to the returned emails. The search function can be integrated into a user interface to allow for one-click searches on any likely search field. The search function can search the body of email messages by default, thereby widening the scope of default searches and eliminating potentially missed information and user need to proactively widen their search. A search function can search attachments, which also provides a wider search scope.

    Abstract: Methods and system for providing interactive media for broadcast content includes receiving navigation input to a first channel that presents content of the television broadcast. Identity of the content is determined by generating an audio fingerprint using an audio signal of the content. Types of interactive media available during the presentation of the content from the first channel and a predetermined input for accessing the graphical notification are identified and used to generate a graphical notification. Access to interactive media presented within the graphical notification is enabled during rendering of the graphical notification and at any time during rendering of the content from the first channel, upon providing the predefined input. When the predefined input is detected, the types of interactive media available for the content are rendered, and content for the select one of the interactive media is presented, during presentation of the content from the first channel.

    Abstract: A method for tailoring content in a web page is provided. There is a relationship between the source domain a user comes from and the behavior pattern of a user on a website. To predict the behavior patterns of a particular user coming from a particular source domain, first a large dataset is compiled from user logs. Second, session analysis is performed on the dataset to identify sessions, session characteristics, page view categories, and source categories. Third, sessions are clustered and analyzed to determine how the behavior changes according to a source category. Fourth, a mapping between source categories and behavior patterns is generated. When a user requests a page view from a source domain, if the source domain is mapped to a source category, then a tailored version of the page view is presented to the user based on the mapping between source categories and behavior patterns.
