    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) or a base station, or both, may determine a configuration for partitioning a set of sequences into multiple sequence pools associated with multiple UEs. The UE or the base station, or both, may determine a sequence pool associated with the UE based on the configuration, which may include parameters or instructions for determining the sequence pool associated with the UE. The UE or the base station, or both, may select a subset of sequences from the sequence pool associated with the UE and construct a codebook including the subset of sequences. The UE may select a sequence from the constructed codebook based on a quantity of bits of a payload and may transmit the payload to the base station using the selected sequence.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems may configure a subset of allocated resources (e.g., one or more resource elements (REs) of one or more allocated resource blocks (RBs)) as peak reduction tones (PRTs) for a peak-cancelation signal. For instance, wireless communications systems may configure a fixed PRT allocation based on a Costas array. In some examples, each column of a Costas array may correspond to a RB of a set of allocated resources. A transmitting device may thus identify one or more PRT REs based on the Costas array and a mapping of allocated RBs to the columns of the Costas array. For instance, a transmitting device may identify a pattern of PRT REs to use for a peak-cancellation signal based at least in part on a configured Costas array (e.g., where the peak-cancellation signal may reduce peaks of a corresponding data signal to ultimately reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of a transmission).

For instance, a UE or base station may identify a first portion of a payload associated with a first priority and a second portion of the payload associated with a second priority less than the first priority. The UE or base station may select a first matrix associated with a first domain for the first portion of the payload and a second matrix associated with a second domain for the second portion of the payload based on a first maximum index interval for the first matrix being larger than a second maximum index interval for the second matrix. The UE may transmit or the base station may receive the first portion of the payload using one or more sequences associated with the first matrix and the second portion of the payload using one or more sequences associated with the second matrix.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitter may transmit a payload in transmission to the base station in a wireless communications system. The transmitter may identify a payload to include in the transmission to the base station. The transmitter may determine to transmit the transmission using an orthogonal sequence codebook or a non-orthogonal sequence codebook, based on a size of the payload, a control message from the base station to the transmitter, or a combination of these. The transmitter may then transmit the transmission to the base station based on whether the transmission is to use the orthogonal sequence codebook or the non-orthogonal sequence codebook. The transmission may be a noncoherent transmission. The transmission may be an uplink control information transmission, an uplink data transmission, a downlink control information transmission, or a downlink data transmission.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) or a base station may select a sequence from a set of sequences for conveying a payload including a set of bits. A length of the selected sequence may be based on a number of time periods for conveying the payload and a number of frequency tones for conveying the payload. The communication device may apply an interleaving function to the selected sequence to generate an interleaved sequence, and transmit the payload including the set of bits using the interleaved sequence. Likewise, the communication device may receive the payload including the set of bits using an interleaved sequence, and apply an interleaving function to de-interleave the interleaved sequence to generate a selected sequence. The communication device may thereby decode the payload based on the selected sequence.

    Abstract: Full-duplex communication techniques are described. Some aspects may utilize full-duplex-slot formats, such as may be provided in addition to or in the alternative to uplink, downlink, and flexible slot formats. A full-duplex slot implemented in accordance with a full-duplex-slot format provides a slot in which the frequency band may be used for both uplink and downlink transmissions. Downlink and/or uplink transmissions of a full-duplex slot may occur in overlapping frequency bands or in adjacent frequency bands. A first wireless device may transmit slot signaling comprising one or more full-duplex-slot-indicator parameters. A second wireless device may base one or more full-duplex slot configuration determinations on a full-duplex-slot configuration. The second wireless device may apply one or more full-duplex-slot-indicator-parameter rules with respect to full-duplex-slot-indicator parameters for determining a full-duplex-slot format.     Abstract: Systems and methods providing peak to average power ratio (PAPR) shaping for PAPR reduction using, for example, an extra-allocation peak reduction tone (PRT) signal processing technique are described. Carrier resources outside of carrier resources allocated for data transmission may be utilized for extra-allocation PRTs. Use of extra-allocation carrier resources for transmitting extra-allocation PRTs may be subject to a power threshold (T).     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an uplink grant that indicates scheduling information for an uplink shared channel transmission by the UE. The UE may also receive a downlink grant scheduling feedback information to be piggybacked on the uplink shared channel transmission, and may determine whether the downlink grant has been received after the uplink grant. The UE may then select from a set of resources indicated in the uplink grant, or determine that a feedback piggybacking condition has been met based on the downlink grant. The UE may perform the uplink shared channel transmission to the base station, in some cases including the feedback information.
