Abstract: Systems and methods providing radio resource management (RRM) to facilitate the co-existence of the neighboring cells, such as to manage radio resources for deployments utilizing a same frequency or overlapping frequencies, using discovery signal transmission are disclosed. Discovery signal transmission may be used to enable network elements of a wireless communication system to discover other network elements of the wireless communication system, whether such other network elements are operating with respect to a cell of a same or different operator. Transmission of discovery signals may be utilized to. detect situations of dominant interference, whereby the network elements of neighboring cells may provide protected resources for each other. The protected resources may comprise particular frequencies, time slots, channels, etc.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for detection and management of hidden node interference. A user equipment (UE) may provide measurement reports to a serving transmitting device to help identify the hidden node interferer in response to detecting hidden node interference. The serving transmitting device may collaborate with one or more neighboring transmitting devices, such as other transmitting devices of an operator of a wireless communications system, to identify one or more of the neighboring transmitting devices that are within an energy detect or preamble detect radius of the hidden node. The serving transmitting device may coordinate with the neighboring transmitting device(s) to determine when the hidden node may transmit, to transmit coordinated preamble transmissions to prevent the hidden node from transmitting during a transmission, or to identify a modulation and coding scheme for the transmission.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives an LDCS configuration for a UE relay from a second entity and monitors for an LDCS from the UE relay based on the received LDCS configuration. The second entity may comprise one of an LPN that is not in a dormant state and a Macro cell. The apparatus may receive LDCS configurations for a plurality of LPNs and monitor for a plurality of LPNs based on the received LDCS configurations. When the apparatus determines a need to connect to a LPN, the apparatus may select an LPN among the plurality of LPNs.

Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to communicating in a wireless network. An uplink resource grant can be received from a network entity for communicating in the wireless network. A transmission time interval (TTI) for an uplink transmission within a subframe based on the uplink resource grant can be determined, wherein the TTI comprises one or more symbols which are a subset of a plurality of symbols in the subframe. Communications can be transmitted to the network entity over resources specified in the uplink resource grant during the TTI.

Abstract: Techniques for low latency point to multipoint (PTM) communications in a system supporting communications using multiple different transmission time interval (TTI) durations are provided. The low latency PTM communications may be supported by one or more physical channels that support PTM communications at shortened TTI durations. In some examples, a base station may allocate, in a PTM traffic channel, a first set of resources for PTM transmissions with a first user equipment (UE) and a second UE, and may allocate a second set of resources (e.g., in a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH)) for unicast transmissions to the first UE. The PTM transmissions may be transmitted using TTIs configured with durations shorter than TTIs used for transmitting unicast transmissions. Different sets of PTM resources may be allocated for different PTM transmissions having different TTI durations.

Abstract: Uplink short transmissions (ULSTs) may be configured in a wireless communications system to be transmitted in configured uplink resources within a listen-before-talk (LBT) frame or within a ULST window during which a user equipment (UE) may transmit a ULST and during which the base station may monitor for ULSTs. A UE having an amount of data to be transmitted that is less than a threshold value may transmit the data in the ULST, and avoid the need to have the base station allocate separate uplink resources outside of the configured uplink resources or the ULST window.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device configured for carrier aggregation may communicate using transport blocks (TBs) mapped according to a wideband configuration that includes resources of multiple component carriers (CCs) within a single, low latency transmission time interval (TTI)—e.g., a TTI that has a shorter duration relative to other TTIs used in the same system. The number of CCs, and thus bandwidth, available for mapping each TB may change dynamically based on the configuration of the CCs. For a CC configured with a control region during a given low latency TTI, a TB sent during that low latency TTI may not be mapped to resources of that CC. In other cases, portions of a CC configured with a control region may be used for wideband configurations. Wideband low latency communications may be used on the uplink or downlink communications, or both.
