    Abstract: Aspects relate to wireless communication on multiple component carriers. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may selectively apply transmission configuration indicator (TCI) information and/or spatial relation information received via a medium access control—control element (MAC-CE) to component carriers. In some examples, a UE may apply the TCI information and/or spatial relation information included in a MAC-CE to multiple component carriers if the UE has been configured with a list that includes the component carriers (and, optionally, if a component carrier identified by the MAC-CE is a member of the list of component carriers). If the above condition is (or conditions are) not met, the UE applies the TCI information and/or spatial relation information included in the MAC-CE to the component carrier identified by the MAC-CE.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for cross-carrier retransmission. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes monitoring for an initial transmission of data from a network on a first entity, generating a negative acknowledgement message indicating that decoding of the initial transmission of the data was unsuccessful, transmitting the negative acknowledgement message, and monitoring for a retransmission of the data on a second entity after the transmission of the negative acknowledgement message, the second entity being different than the first entity.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Beam pair link (BPLs) may be associated with a state of a wireless device. For example, a first wireless device may communicate with a second wireless device using a set of BPLs, and the second wireless device may operate using a predetermined movement sequence, where different movements may correspond to the second wireless device using respective states. In some examples, a BPL may be selected for each state of the second wireless device and used to communicate with the first wireless device, where the BPL that corresponds to a particular state may be determined through beam training procedures. In some cases, BPLs associated with respective states may experience decreased link quality and the first wireless device may transmit a configuration that modifies the communications between the first and second wireless devices based on the affected BPLs.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for beam failure detection and related timing determinations, such as for applying a default beam after beam failure recovery response (BFRR) message. A method by a user equipment (UE) may include detecting failure of a beam associated with a first cell. The detecting can include performing beam failure detection (BFD) of a beam pair link (BPL) associated with the first cell (e.g., secondary cell (Scell)). The first cell can be in carrier aggregation (CA) with a second cell. The UE may send a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) message on a second cell (e.g., a primary cell (Pcell)). The BFRQ message can include a candidate recovery beam for the first cell. The UE can receive a BFRR message on the second cell and determine a duration from reception of the BFRR message until using a default beam for communications on the first cell.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a set of beams, for which a corresponding uplink beam indication is not configured, associated with a set of transmit-receive points (TRPs) based at least in part on at least one of a downlink control information (DCI) configuration, a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) codepoint mapping, a control resource set (CORESET) configuration, or a TRP index, wherein the set of beams includes a sounding reference signal (SRS) beam or a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) beam. The UE may communicate with the set of TRPs using the set of beams based at least in part on determining the set of beams. Numerous other aspects are provided.
