Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a set of parameters for generating a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ)-acknowledgement (ACK) codebook associated with a particular downlink control information (DCI) format of a plurality of DCI formats, wherein the particular DCI format is associated with a particular priority of a plurality of priorities; and generate the HARQ-ACK codebook based at least in part on the set of parameters. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an uplink grant that schedules uplink shared channel transmissions of a first length. The UE may then determine the actual lengths of the transmissions, which may differ from each other and the scheduled length (e.g., due to conditions of the communication environment, such as the location of slot boundaries). The UE may also identify uplink control information to be multiplexed on the uplink shared channel (e.g., when the scheduled transmission overlaps with a control channel or based on an uplink grant for the uplink control information). The UE may multiplex the uplink control information on the uplink shared channel so as to maintain the same rate-matching scheme and the same coding scheme for each of the transmissions, and transmit the uplink control information in at least one of the transmissions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for configuring group indices for uplink transmissions from a user equipment (UE) such that the UE may be able to determine whether to combine uplink transmissions scheduled on overlapping time resources. Specifically, the UE may combine uplink transmissions associated with a same group index for transmission in a single channel, and the UE may avoid combining uplink transmissions associated with different group indices. In some cases, the indication of a group index associated with an uplink transmission from a UE may be explicit (e.g., provided in a downlink control information (DCI) message), and, in other cases, the indication of a group index associated with an uplink transmission from a UE may be implicit (e.g., corresponding to a resource allocated for the uplink transmission).

Abstract: A design is provided for spatially multiplexing uplink channels. A user equipment (UE) detects that a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) and a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) are to be transmitted simultaneously. The UE decides to spatially multiplex the PUCCH and the SRS for simultaneous transmission via different sets of one or more antennas. The UE determines time and frequency resources for the PUCCH and the SRS to avoid collision of at least a portion of the PUCCH with the SRS. The UE transmits the spatially multiplexed PUCCH and SRS using the determined time and frequency resources.

A device may receive a grant that schedules a set of sidelink occasions associated with sidelink communication from the device, and that indicates a set of uplink occasions for indicating feedback associated with the sidelink communication. The device may transmit a sidelink message during a sidelink occasion of the set of sidelink occasions, and generate feedback information based on the transmitted sidelink message. The feedback information may include an acknowledgement (ACK) or a negative acknowledgment (NACK) associated with the sidelink message. The device may transmit an uplink feedback message including the feedback information during an uplink occasion of the set of uplink occasions. The feedback information may include an indication of the ACK or the NACK.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently transmitting uplink signals to a base station using shared antennas. A first device may be in communications with a base station using local antennas and may identify a second device having auxiliary antennas available for transmitting uplink signals to the base station. Because the local antennas and auxiliary antennas may have different capabilities (e.g., due to different power or other constraints), the first device may generate first uplink signals for transmission using the local antennas differently from second uplink signals for transmission using the auxiliary antennas. The first device may transmit the first uplink signals to the base station using the local antennas and transmit the second uplink signals to the second device for transmission to the base station using the auxiliary antennas based on different configurations.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In one example, a base station may dynamically configure a user equipment (UE) to monitor or avoid monitoring for a preemption indication. Accordingly, the UE may have a lower chance of monitoring for a preemption indication when it is unlikely that an uplink or downlink transmission will be preempted. In another example, a base station may transmit a control message indicating whether future indications received from the base station are to be interpreted as preemption indications or permission indications. Accordingly, the base station may choose to use either preemption indications or permission indications (e.g., based on the probability of collisions between mobile broadband (MBB) and low latency transmissions) to facilitate MBB and low latency communication multiplexing with limited signaling.

The methods, systems, and devices may enable a base station to determine an operation state for a user equipment (UE) that corresponds to how the UE applies a preemption indication. The base station may indicate the operation state to the UE using a parameter of a configuration message. The base station may transmit a grant indicating time-frequency resources scheduled for the UE. The UE may identify a priority of a channel associated with the scheduled resources. The base station may determine a number of scheduled resources to be preempted or canceled and may indicate these resources to the UE using a preemption indication. The UE may determine remaining time-frequency resources based on the preemption indication, the priority of the channels, the operation state, or a combination thereof.
