In some aspects, a user equipment may receive configuration information for a plurality of carriers, wherein a set of first carriers of the plurality of carriers are single transmit receive point (single-TRP) carriers and a set of second carriers of the plurality of carriers are multi-TRP carriers; determine, for the plurality of carriers, a distribution that satisfies a per-span capability of the UE, wherein the distribution is of at least one of a plurality of non-overlapped control channel elements or a plurality of blind decodes, wherein the distribution is based at least in part on which carriers, of the plurality of carriers, are single-TRP carriers or multi-TRP carriers; and receive communications on the plurality of carriers in accordance with the distribution. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) or a base station, or both, may generate a set of orthogonal sequences that the UE may use to convey a payload of a number of bits based on a product of an orthogonal matrix and a cell-specific sequence. The UE or the base station, or both, may select a subset of the set of orthogonal sequences based on the number of bits in the payload, and the UE may construct a codebook including the subset of orthogonal sequences. The UE may select an orthogonal sequence from the constructed codebook based on the bits in the payload. The UE may transmit the payload including the number of bits to the base station using the selected orthogonal sequence.

An example method generally includes receiving, from a network entity, a downlink grant including a trigger to transmit an aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) report on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), generating the A-CSI report, and transmitting the A-CSI report on the PUCCH using timing and resources indicated in the downlink grant.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a set of channel state processes scheduled to be performed. The UE may receive a channel state feedback request corresponding to another set of channel state processes. The combination of the set of channel state processes and the other set of channel state processes may be greater than an amount that the UE may process at a given time. The UE may determine a priority for the channel state processes either on an individual or group basis. The UE may determine channel state process (es) to drop based on the determined priorities, and may perform the remaining channel state processes. The UE may generate and transmit a channel state feedback report message based on the performed channel state processes.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One or more multiple access-capable user equipments (UEs) may be grouped together for transmitting uplink multiple access communications to a base station, where the UEs may be assigned to the group based on similar capabilities or service requirements. The UE may receive configuration information based at least in part on the group to which the UE has been assigned. When assigned to a group, the UEs may also receive a group-specific scrambling code for the uplink multiple access communications, a group-specific power control for the uplink multiple access communications, time and frequency resources to be used for the uplink multiple access communications specific to the group, or a combination thereof. Additionally, the specific time and frequency resources may be defined by multiple access resource units.
