Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to communications in a network are provided. A first wireless communication device may perform in a shared radio frequency band during a first portion of a frame period, a first listen-before-talk (LBT) using a first beam characteristic. Additionally, the first wireless communication device may perform in the shared radio frequency band during a second portion of the frame period, a second LBT using a second set of beam characteristics different from the first beam characteristic. The first wireless communication device may communicate with a second wireless communication device in the shared radio frequency band during the second portion of the frame period, one or more communication signals using the second set of beam characteristics. Other aspects and features are also described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration that indicates a set of frequency components for carrier aggregation and that indicates multiple sets of channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs) or sounding reference signals (SRSs), wherein different sets of CSI-RSs or SRSs, of the multiple sets of CSI-RSs or SRSs, correspond to different subsets of frequency components included in the set of frequency components. The UE may monitor for one or more CSI-RSs or SRSs, corresponding to a subset of frequency components included in the set of frequency components, based at least in part on the configuration. Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a network entity to calculate a relative clock drift between a Tx antenna panel and an Rx antenna panel that use different RF hardware/circuits (e.g., clocks). In one aspect, a network entity obtains a plurality of RTT measurements between a Tx antenna panel, a device with a known position, and an Rx antenna panel over a period of time, where the Tx antenna panel is associated with a first clock and the Rx antenna panel is associated with a second clock. The network entity obtains a first timing delay associated with the device based on the plurality of RTT measurements. The network entity calculates a clock offset between the Tx antenna panel and the Rx antenna panel based on the obtained first timing delay associated with the device.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes generating, by an upper analog media access control (MAC-A) layer of a protocol stack, a data packet with a header and a data field. The header indicates a neural network identifier (ID) and a request ID. The data field includes gradient data for a federated learning iteration. The method also includes transferring the data packet to lower layers of the protocol stack for transmission to a network device across a wireless network.

Abstract: A method of managing positioning reference signal transmission includes: instructing a transmission point to apply a muting pattern regarding transmission of a reference signal including first and second reference signal resources, where a first instance of the first reference signal resource includes one or more first resource elements across one or more first OFDM symbols within a slot, and a second instance of the second reference signal resource includes one or more second resource elements across one or more second OFDM symbols within the slot; and instructing the transmission point to transmit, unmuted, at least one of the one or more second resource elements, of at least one of the one or more second OFDM symbols, despite the muting pattern indicating to mute transmission of the at least one of the one or more second resource elements of the at least one of the one or more second OFDM symbols.

Abstract: A first apparatus may be implemented as a user equipment (UE) or a component thereof. The first apparatus may be configured to receive a pre-grant message from a base station on a wireless channel. The first apparatus may be further configured to determine an interference level associated with the wireless channel. The first apparatus may then indicate the interference level to the base station in response to the pre-grant message. A second apparatus may be implemented as a base station or a component thereof. The second apparatus may be configured to transmit a pre-grant message to a UE on a wireless channel. The second apparatus may be further configured to detect for an acknowledgement (ACK) message responsive to the pre-grant message from the UE. The second apparatus may then determine an interference level associated with the wireless channel proximate to the UE based on detecting for the ACK message.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving an uplink grant from a network device. The method also includes determining, by a lower analog media access control (MAC-A) layer of an analog data communications stack, a quantity of analog neural network gradients to transmit in a data packet using resources allocated by the uplink grant. The determining is based on an analog physical (PHY-A) layer encoding scheme and the resources allocated by the uplink grant. The method further includes segmenting the analog neural network gradients into the data packet. The method still further includes transferring the data packet to the PHY-A layer for transmission to the network device across a wireless network.
