Abstract: Transmission time interval (TTI) bundling for ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) uplink and downlink transmissions is discussed in which a base station or user equipments (UEs) determine conditions for one or more served UEs that would indicate enabling TTI bundling for data and/or control transmissions. The serving base station transmits an enablement signal signifying that TTI bundling will be performed for data and/or control transmissions. The enablement signal may include a bundle length for the transmission bundle. The data or control signal packets may then be repeatedly transmitted to the UEs a number of times corresponding to the bundle length.

A user equipment (UE) may identify a reference signal preemption scheme associated with one or more reference signal resources being preempted for priority transmissions during a time period. The UE may implement a reference signal preemption response scheme that is selected based at least in part on the resources of the one or more reference signals being preempted.

Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. One method includes receiving, at a user equipment (UE), a transport block (TB) that includes a plurality of code block groups (CBGs); determining CBG failure information identifying a set of one or more CBGs in the TB that failed to decode at the UE; determining a compressed representation of the CBG failure information; and transmitting, in response to receiving the TB, hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) information including the compressed representation of the CBG failure information. The compressed representation of the CBG failure information includes fewer bits of information than the CBG failure information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE) are described. Techniques are described herein for performing out-of-order processing. The UE may receive a first downlink channel at a first time and a second downlink channel at a second time. The UE may determine that a priority of the second downlink channel is different (e.g., higher) than a priority of the first downlink channel. The UE may determine that a first uplink transmission associated with the first downlink channel is to be transmitted after a second uplink transmission associated with the second channel based on the different priorities. The UE may set one or more operations based on these determinations. In some cases, the UE may suspend processing the of the first downlink channel to process the second downlink channel.

Abstract: Device detection in networks with mixed mobility devices is discussed. Devices in the network first determine a discovery mode from a plurality of discovery modes, wherein the determining is based on a mobility state of the wireless device. The device identifies a set of resources associated with the determined discovery mode, wherein each of the plurality of discovery modes is provisioned with separate resources. A discovery signal is transmitted using the identified set of resources according to the discovery mode. Thus, devices with higher mobility will generally send discovery signals more often than devices that are static or semi-static.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for minimizing latency between receipt of a NACK at a base station from a user equipment (UE) and retransmission of data to the UE. Time constraints for processing the ACK/NACK are relaxed so the base station can decode the ACK/NACK to determine whether a NACK has been received and then prepare for transmission of the appropriate data to the UE in the immediately following transmission time interval (TTI). These constraints are relaxed by separating download data indicator (DDI) from the PDCCH control data and delaying transmission of the DDI until decoding of the ACK/NACK.
