摘要： A conference system includes a controller and clusters of media nodes. Each media node performs media packet processing operations and connects with other media nodes and client devices. The controller sends to a client device contact information for candidate clusters. The controller receives from the client device a measure of reachability to each candidate cluster as determined by the client device using the contact information. The controller receives from the client device a request to join a communication session. Responsive to the request, the controller determines a best cluster among the candidate clusters to which the client should connect for the communication session based on the measures of reachability to the candidate clusters, and selects a media node in the best cluster. The controller sends to the client device contact information for the media node to enable the client device to connect to the media node for the communication session.

摘要： Secure, controlled, interactive virtual visitation for confinement institution inmates is provided using computing devices connected through a network by managing the scheduling of visitation sessions and use of shared visitation session resources, ensuring the identities of the inmate and the person with whom the inmate is to interact in the virtual visitation session, and by monitoring the interactions and communications during the virtual visitation sessions to detect prohibited activities. Another embodiment of the invention uses a virtual desktop shared from a remote server to ensure that an inmate does not have access to prohibited applications or content during a virtual visitation session.

摘要： An electronic meeting tool and method for communicating arbitrary media content from users at a meeting includes a node configuration adapted to operate a display node of a communications network, the display node being coupled to a first display. The node configuration is adapted to receive user selected arbitrary media content and to control display of the user selected arbitrary media content on the first display. A peripheral device adapted to communicate the user selected arbitrary media content via the communications network is a connection unit including a connector adapted to couple to a port of a processing device having a second display, a memory and an operating system, and a transmitter. A program is adapted to obtain user selected arbitrary media content, the program leaving a zero footprint on termination. The user may trigger a transfer of the user selected arbitrary media content to the transmitter.

In response to activation of a publication control, the code is embedded in the webpage, wherein in response to a first user browser of a first user device accessing the webpage, and the first user scrolling the webpage to the first position, the content specified by the content specification is rendered.
