A security assembly comprising a frame member (12) and a plurality of doors (14) is mountable inside the housing (4) of an ATM or safe etc. Each door (14) can be opened and closed independently of the other doors. Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5, each door (14) is attached to the frame member (12) by a hinge (16). A barrier member (18), which acts to lock the door (14), is mounted to the door (14) by two pivoting brackets (20). When in the locked condition, the barrier members (18) extend substantially along the whole length of the edge of the door to prevent access through the boundaries between the doors and the frame. A barrier member actuator in the form of a plurality of independently moveable locking blades (22) is slidably mounted to the frame (12), the locking blades (22) being actuated by drive means (not shown).

When a transportation route (100) includes a number of delivery destinations/collection destinations (110, 120, 130), the secondary keys (20) having mutually varying code subsets are placed at said destinations, wherewith the aforesaid person-carried primary key (10) enables the container to be opened/deactivated in co-action with code subsets (CD, EF, GH) obtained from respective secondary keys (20) at respective destinations (110, 120, 130) over a chosen transportation route (100), for instance.

The sensor has a housing mounted on an inside surface of the door, frame engageable means for abutting the door frame, a driver rotatably mounted in the housing, analog signal generator mounted in the housing having a rotatable part driven by the driver, and spring for extending the frame engageable means that is slideably mounted and confined to linear displacement in the housing. The driver transforms displacement of the frame engageable means into rotational orientation of the driver. The generator produces analog signals corresponding to the rotational orientation of the rotatable part. A means converts analog signals from the generator to corresponding digital signals that are proportional to displacement of the frame engageable means. Memory means compares the displacement with a set point range thereby continually monitoring the condition of the door.

This lockable latch with catch for use with briefcase type fireproof safes allows the user to carry the safe by its handle (briefcase style) without the lid being locked to the body. It has both a latch and a catch that can pivot or move away from their engagement positions in a plane parallel to, and within, the body of the safe. A release button pivots the latch away from its engagement position and thereby unlatches the latch. Alternatively, a locking member can be interposed so as to prevent the latch from pivoting away from its position of engagement with the catch when the safe is locked. When the locking member is engaged and the latch is thereby locked into engagement position, the ability of the catch to temporarily pivot or move out of the way of the latch still allows the safe lid to snap shut.

The modular security safe with offset security bolt box is provided. A method of manufacturing panels and assembling the safe is also provided. The modular safe includes a number of modular panels which serve as the top, bottom, and sides of the safe. The modular panels of the safe in a plastic metal mold having high-density concrete therein reinforced by expanded metal. The modular panels included outer portions and stepped or rabbeted inner portions. The top and bottom panels have security bolt boxes attached by bolts to the inner portion. The modular side panels are attached to the top and bottom panels by bolts extending through the security bolt boxes. This results in a construction where the bolts are offset from the seams of the safe and therefore, the bolts, and the safe, is not subject to easy attack. The design consists of six modular panels, which define the top, bottom, three sides, and a door which is fitted with longitudinally moving bolts which engage the interior of the side-wall when closed, to prevent access. The individual sections of the safe are readily transportable for convenient location and assembly; however, the case, once assembled, cannot be so readily moved.
