    摘要: A conveying device has pocket-like receiving parts that are moved along a rotary path. The receiving parts are arranged one behind the other and transversely with respect to the rotary path. Printed products are introduced into the receiving parts by a feeder. As a result, these printed products come to rest against a base. During the rotation of the receiving parts, the printed products, bearing on a wall and/or a guide plate, slide into clamps of a transporting device. The transporting device is separate from the conveying device, and its clamps are arranged one behind the other and driven in circulation along a continuous movement path. A section of the movement path runs transversely with respect to the rotary path and the receiving parts. In this section, the printed products retained by the clamps are transported in the receiving parts and in the longitudinal direction thereof.

    摘要: A method and apparatus are used for positioning and stabilizing flat articles at a specific point (P) of a conveying path, the articles being conveyed in a suspended manner. Non-rigid articles which are conveyed at such a speed that they are deflected by the air resistance from their vertical, flat position, are positioned so that they can be guided into a closely defined compartment of a processing drum with their lower edge at the front. For this purpose guide elements (12) are inserted from above into the conveying flow and over an insertion path (ES), gradually bring the printed products (11) into the intended position and over a following discharge path (AS) discharge the guide elements upwards again out of the conveying flow. The described embodiment of the apparatus comprises chains, closed to form a loop and positioned laterally of the conveying flow, which pass over sprockets and on which the guide elements (12) are arranged at regular intervals.

    摘要: An improved apparatus for forming sheet material assemblages includes a circular array of pockets which are sequentially moved through a plurality of feed stations disposed in an arcuate array. Sheet material is fed into each of the pockets in turn at the feed stations to form sheet material assemblages. A delivery conveyor conducts the completed sheet material assemblages from the circular array of pockets. A plurality of loader conveyor assemblies are provided to supply sheet material to the feed stations. One of the loader conveyor assemblies is disposed above and extends across the delivery conveyor. The loader conveyor assembly which extends across the delivery conveyor has a skewed discharge end portion which turns a stream of sheet material as it moves toward the feed station. To facilitate handling of the sheet material, a group of the loader conveyor assemblies are disposed in a group with main sections of the loader conveyor assemblies extending parallel to each other. Loader conveyor assemblies on opposite sides of a central loader conveyor assembly of the group have discharge end portions which are skewed toward the central loader conveyor assembly.

    摘要: The package support device comprises a hollow cylindrical rotatable winding core member possessing a substantially cylindrical support surface for the wound-up printed products. At the winding core member there is formed a ring-shaped groove extending in the circumferential direction of the winding core member and open towards the outside. Accommodated within such ring-shaped groove is a winding band wound upon the winding core member. The ring-shaped groove can be covered by a cover member supported at the winding core member. This cover member rotates with the winding core member and is displaceable in the direction of the lengthwise axis of such winding core member in order to expose the ring-shaped groove. The cover member can also be constructed to be rotatable in relation to the winding core. A throughpass opening for the winding band is formed in the cover member.

    摘要: Collation of folded printed signatures or sheets is accomplished by a rotating collating cylinder or rotary collator which is rotatably driven about its longitudinal axis of revolution. The rotary collator comprises a plurality of collating conveyors arranged substantially parallel to this longitudinal axis. These collating conveyors are substantially annularly positioned about this longitudinal axis and extend substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rotary collator. The folded printed signatures or sheets are fed or conveyed by three feeding conveyors or infeed devices and are deposited to straddle the collating conveyors or the respective folded printed signatures or sheets already straddling the collating conveyors. The folded printed signatures or sheets are displaced in the direction of conveyance of the rotary collator while revolving about the longitudinal axis of the rotary collator. The printed signatures or sheets are thus conveyed along a path which has the shape of a helix or coiled spiral. The end products are gripped at a product withdrawal location by a withdrawal conveyor or device and conveyed to a different location.
