Abstract: An elliptical exerciser capable of adjusting a stride length contains: frame, a transmission device, a crank mechanism, and an adjustable movement unit. The transmission device is connected on the pedestal and includes a pulley. The crank mechanism is coaxial with the pulley of the transmission device and is rotatably connected on the frame. The adjustable movement unit is rotatably connected on the frame and is coupled with the transmission device via the crank mechanism. The adjustable movement unit includes two four-connection-rod assemblies which are located on two sides of the frame, and a respective four-connection-rod assembly of the adjustable movement unit has an adjustment lever, a post, a manual swing lever, and a horizontal joining rod. The adjustment lever has multiple rotatable connection points which are spaced, and the manual swing lever is rotatably connected on the frame.

Abstract: A method for displaying archived exercise classes comprising displaying information about archived exercise classes that can be accessed by a first user via a computer network on a display screen at a first location, wherein the first user can select among a plurality of archived classes, outputting digital video and audio content comprising the selected archived class, detecting a performance parameter for the first user at a particular point in the selected class, displaying the performance parameter on the display screen, and displaying performance parameters from a second user at a second location on the display screen such that at least one of the performance parameters from the first user and at least one of the performance parameters from the second user at the same point in the class are presented for comparison.

Abstract: A variable-resistance exercise machine with network communication for smart device control and brainwave entrainment, comprising an exercise machine with a plurality of moving surfaces, that each provide an independent degree of resistance to movement, a sensor that detects movement and provides output to a controller, a brainwave entrainment manager that selects a brainwave entrainment frequency based on the sensor output, and a controller that receives an input from a user device, changes the operation of the plurality of moving surfaces based on the input, and sends the brainwave entrainment frequency to the user device.

Abstract: A system and method for brainwave entrainment using virtual objects and gamification, in which brainwave entrainment is applied using some combination of gaming elements, brainwave is enhanced by virtue of the user’s active participation, and long-term use is encouraged by virtue of the entertaining nature of the gamification. Depending on configuration, the system and method may comprise a display comprising virtual objects, a light-producing device (other than the display), an audio-producing device such as speakers or headphones, a haptic feedback device such as a vibratory motor, a means for monitoring the user’s attention, and a software application which applies brainwave entrainment using some combination of the display, the light-producing device, the audio-producing device, and the haptic feedback device.
