摘要： A cover opening/closing mechanism, including a housing having an opening; a flexible cover movable between a closed position and an opened position; a first locking mechanism; and a second locking mechanism, wherein a first distance by which a pair of members of the first locking mechanism slide and move with respect to each other in order to bring the first locking mechanism to a locked state is longer than a second distance by which a pair of members of the second locking mechanism slide with respect to each other in order to bring the second locking mechanism to a locked state. An external force for causing the pair of the members of the first locking mechanism to slide and move with respect to each other is weaker than an external force for causing the pair of members of the second locking mechanism to slide with respect to each other.

摘要： An image forming apparatus, includes an image reader with an original document table. An image reading part has a light source, a light-receiving part, a reflection part, and a carriage that supports the light source or the reflection part. A cover covers a replacement member and is opened/closed integrally with the image reader. A main body accommodates an operation part for performing operations based on image data. An axis connects the image reader to the main body and turnably supports the image reader and the cover in approaching/separating directions with respect to the main body. An open/close detector detects an open/closed state of the image reader and the cover and a movement controller moves the carriage in a sub-scanning direction. When the image reader and the cover are open, the movement controller moves the carriage to a retreat position that is outside the original document table.

The first image reading device has a first reading range, and the second image reading device has a second reading range, which is smaller than the first reading range.

摘要： A cover support mechanism regulates an opening angle of an openable cover with respect to a chassis of an electronic device. The cover constitutes a portion of the chassis. The mechanism has a cord shaped or tape shaped stopper, and a support unit. The stopper has a first end portion and a second end portion, the first end portion being fixed to the cover. The support unit supports the second end portion of the stopper. The support unit is provided to the electronic device. The support unit has a receiving portion, a biasing member, and a braking unit. The receiving portion has a space for pulling in the second end portion of the stopper. The biasing member applies force to the stopper for pulling in the stopper into the receiving portion. The braking unit applies frictional force to the stopper when the cover is opened.

摘要： An image forming device includes a main body and a door. The main body is provided with first and second contacting parts and an abutting surface. When the door is closed, the first and second contacting parts contact a door frame of the door, thereby determining the horizontal position of the door with respect to the main body. Also a vertical positioning stopper formed to the door frame abuts the abutting surface from above, thereby determining the vertical position of the door with respect to the main body. Further, a reactive force generated at a lock mechanism and an urging force of a spring increase a pressure to contact areas of the door with the first and second contacting parts and the abutting surface.
