Abstract:
A video signal and an audio signal are TMDS transmitted from a source device to a sink device. Through a reserved line and a HPD line provided separately from a TMDS transmission line, an Ethernet™ signal is bidirectionally transmitted, and also, a SPDIF signal is transmitted from the sink device to the source device. The Ethernet™ signal bidirectionally transmitted between Ethernet™ transmitter/receiver circuits is differentially transmitted by an amplifier and is received by the amplifier. The SPDIF signal from a SPDIF transmitter circuit is common-mode transmitted from an adder and is received by the adder to be supplied to the SPDIF receiver circuit.
Abstract:
Techniques to provide a replica bias circuit for a high speed and low voltage common mode driver. In an embodiment, a pre-driver is coupled to provide driver input voltages to the driver, which driver includes a set of circuit elements coupled to provide, based on the driver input voltages, an output signal of a differential output. In another embodiment, a regulator circuit is coupled to provide regulated power to the pre-driver and driver, where the regulator circuit includes a scale replica circuit having a replica of the first set of circuit elements.
Abstract:
A method for deskewing a differential signal is provided. A common-mode voltage of a differential signal and an average for the common-mode voltage of the differential signal are measured. A difference between first and second portions of the differential signal is determined, and deskew information is derived from the common-mode voltage and the average. The deskew information can then be combined with the difference to deskew the differential signal.

Abstract:
In a driver circuit in a transmission system, an output circuit outputs a differential signal based on input data signals. A current source control circuit controls a constant current source so that a common-mode potential of the differential signal becomes equal to a predetermined reference potential. An overshoot reduction circuit is connected to an input line of the common-mode potential of the current source control circuit, and reduces an overshoot of the common-mode potential based on the control signal.
Abstract:
A signal transceiver apparatus suitable for a wired signal transceiver system includes a differential signal transmitter, an impendence matching control module and a signal receiver. The signal transmitter has an output terminal which is connected to a transceiver wire. The signal transmitter includes a first impendence tuner and is used to receive a control signal so as to tune impendence of the first impendence tuner according to the control signal. Moreover, the impendence matching control module generates the control signal according to a compare signal and a lock signal. Besides, the signal receiver generates the lock signal and the compare signal according to a compare result between a current flowing through the first impendence tuner and a reference current.
