Tabs (60) of the shell adjacent the one wall extend toward each other from edges of the adjacent shell walls, and include end portions bent inwardly toward the housing to be seated within slots (62) in the housing, holding the adjacent shell walls against the housing and preventing inadvertent opening of the seam (88).

摘要： A modular jack for interfacing a modular plug with a printed circuit board. The jack has a first outer housing segment and a second outer housing segment with a plurality of contacts embedded within the second segment and having pin portions projecting therefrom about one terminal end and contact portions projecting therefrom about the other terminal end with the contact portions being insertable within the first housing segment to make interface contact and mating with a male plug. The modular jack includes a shield with an electrically conductive compliant member about the edge of the shield to make interface electrical connection with a panel when the modular jack is mounted in place with the compliant member clamped by a plurality of clamps aligned with edges of the shield.

摘要： In order to provide a simple connection between a shield housing and a strip body, the shield housing has resilient side parts with spring arms being initially bent inwards and then outwards and being pushed over lead-in and sliding inclines on the strip body and automatically latched on an insertion side or front of the strip body. Those sections of the spring arms which are bent outwards form contact elements for the shield housing to make contact on a mounting panel. The invention is suitable for motor vehicle filter plug connectors.

摘要： A flexible electrical contact is formed as a convex dome structure extending from one side of a surrounding structure, with the convex dome structure and the surrounding structure forming an integral metallic structure. The convex dome structure includes a central contact portion and a number of legs extending between the central contact portion and the surrounding structure. Each leg extends radially outward from the central contact portion and circumferentially around part of the central contact portion. A number of convex dome structures of this kind may be part of a removable shield in an electronic enclosure, provided to electrically ground the shield to a conductive frame, reducing the level of RFI (radio frequency interference) emissions from a device. Alternately, a number of convex dome structures may be provided along spring strips fastened to such a shield. In such spring strips, electrical contact may occur between the shield and intermediate positions along the length of the legs.

摘要： An electrical shielded data connector includes an inner terminal support housing (4, 404, 520) carrying a plurality of electrical terminals such as (30, 560) where the terminal support housing includes shield members (130, 160; 330, 360; 460; 516, 518) surrounding the terminal support housing (4, 404,520). The shielded sub-assembly is insertable into an outer housing (70; 512, 514) and is latchably attached therein and a rear support plate (95) and cable support member (110) can be assembled around a cable after the termination of the multi-conductor cable. The cable support member (110) can be positioned in one of two orientations to provide for either a straight through or an angled cable exit. A cross talk shield (200, 524) is positioned in a stuffer cap (180, 522) and is situated between adjacent terminals (30, 560) when in the final position. Another cross talk shield (220, 320) is positioned in a slot (50, 450) intermediate the terminals (30) at the lower side thereof.
