The orientation of one of these sectors is obtained geometrically by rotating the sector about a horizontal axis transverse to the optical axis, from a position in which the sector is continuous with adjacent sectors, into a position in which that sector will generate images situated at the limit of the higher of the two half planes delimiting the cut-off line.
