    摘要: A lighting unit can form a plurality of light distribution patterns without use of a shield and without an act of shielding light from a light source. The lighting unit can include a laser diode, a fluorescent member with a fluorescent portion configured to receive blue light from the laser diode and emit white light, and a projector type lens configured to project the white light. The fluorescent member can be rotated around a rotation shaft perpendicular to the optical axis of the projector type lens and shaped such that when the fluorescent member is rotated by a predetermined angle by the driving member and viewed from the projector type lens, a plurality of contours of the fluorescent portion can be changed according to the predetermined angle.

    摘要: An adaptive lighting system for an automotive vehicle. The adaptive lighting system has a wavelength conversion device for receiving the light radiation (L) from the primary source and re-emitting white light radiation (B). An optical imaging system receives the white light (B) re-emitted by the wavelength conversion device and projects this light (B) in front of the vehicle to form a lighting beam, the wavelength conversion device being situated close to a focal plane of the optical imaging system, and the scanning system and the optical system being situated on the same side of the wavelength conversion device. An intensity of the white light radiation (B) emitted by the wavelength conversion device is capable of being modulated between a minimum value and a maximum value, and the scanning is performed at variable speed.

    摘要: There is provided a movable shade which can move between a light shielding position and a light shielding moderating position, so that a single lamp can be used both for low beam and high beam. Then, the longitudinal length of the lamp is shortened so as to attempt to make the lamp compact in size by inserting a light source bulb into a reflector from a side of an optical axis Ax. As this occurs, the insertion and fixing of the light source bulb is implemented at a position which is apart downwardly from the optical axis, whereby the formation of a light source bulb inserting and fixing hole in optical axis sideways areas on a reflecting surface of the reflector is avoided which would otherwise have to occur.

    摘要: A vehicle headlamp comprises a reflector and a horizontal light source oriented transversely to an optical axis of the reflector. The headlamp is arranged to give an American passing beam, i.e. a cut-off beam which is delimited by two half planes at different heights. The reflector is divided into sectors. The orientation of one of these sectors is obtained geometrically by rotating the sector about a horizontal axis transverse to the optical axis, from a position in which the sector is continuous with adjacent sectors, into a position in which that sector will generate images situated at the limit of the higher of the two half planes delimiting the cut-off line.
