    摘要: A hydrodynamic thrust bearing, forming a part of a bearing system for a rotary bearing of spindle motors utilized to power hard disk drives, which includes at least one annular thrust plate and a counter bearing corresponding to the thrust plate. The thrust plate is firmly connected to a shaft rotatably supported by means of a radial bearing system. The shaft features an axial bore extends from one shaft end located outside the bearing system until the area where the thrust plate is to be positioned. A fixing element is inserted into the axial bore, an outer diameter of the fixing element being greater than the smallest inner diameter of the bore. This enables the thrust plate to be easily mounted in a press fit even in the area around the middle of the shaft.

    摘要: An annular collar-clamp attaches to a vertical post at selected height and radial orientation and includes an annular pattern of upper and lower dovetail mount sites receiving a bifurcated component mounting assembly having a corresponding inter-fitting pattern of semi-annular dovetail mounts whereby the mounting assembly engages the collar-clamp at a selected discrete position thereon. By use of discontinuous or non-concentric surface engagement in such orientation and pattern to lock together the collar-clamp and the associated mounting component assembly, better load distribution and overall strength results while retaining an ability to position a component at any selected radial orientation relative to the post.

    摘要: A tapered polygon coupling for an impeller and pinion. The pinion has a tapered bore having a polygonal cross-section. The impeller includes a corresponding tapered polygon plug configured to be placed in the bore of the pinion. A fastener is provided for securing the impeller to the pinion. The fastener passes through a passage in the plug of the impeller. The plug of the impeller is split so that when the fastener is inserted into the passage the plug expands to contact the bore and create an interference fit between the pinion and the impeller.

A cylindrical substrate is expanded toward the outer periphery based on the expanding function caused by elasticity of a first inserting member and a second inserting member upon inserting into the cylindrical substrate from ends of the cylindrical substrate, so as to clamp the cylindrical member and bearing members interdigitated on the outer periphery of the cylindrical substrate. A second inserting member is inserted into the first inserting member.

    摘要: A steering wheel alignment system for a vehicle having a steering wheel and steering unit that includes a first shaft operatively connected to the steering unit, a second shaft operatively connected to the steering wheel, and a coupling disposed between the first and second shafts to couple the shafts so that rotation of the steering wheel operates the steering unit to steer the vehicle. The coupling includes: a bolt, one of the shafts is hollow to telescope over the other shaft, and each shaft has a radial extending hole therethrough for receiving the bolt to attach the first and second shafts together. The radial extending hole through one of the shafts is elongated in the radial direction so that when the bolt extends through the holes of the first and second shafts the elongation of the hole defines a range of radial adjusting movement of the shafts relative one another until tightening of the bolt clamps the first and second shafts together against further relative rotation.
