摘要： The invention relates to a method for producing an immunoglobulin G preparation. In the method of blood fraction containing immunoglobulin is treated 60-72 hours with mild pepsin at a pH of about 4.4, treated by the S/D virus activation method and cleared of chemicals, pepsin and decomposition products. In addition, it can be filtered with a filter with perforations of about 35 nm at maximum. According to the invention, there are obtained extremely pure and well tolerated, virally safe products.

摘要： The invention relates to methods of sterilizing biologically active products, particularly therapeutic or prophylactic products and the compositions obtained thereby. The methods include obtaining a dried sample containing an amount of trehalose sufficient to render heat stability to the product and exposing the dried sample to heating conditions at a temperature and for a duration sufficient to substantially inactivate viruses, especially non-lipid encapsulated viruses. The drying methods include both ambient drying conditions and lyophilization. The heating conditions include any known in the art and cover a wide range of temperatures and heating times. The compositions obtained contain stable products and do not contain measurable infectious virus, particularly parvovirus.

摘要： Psoralen compound compositions are synthesized which have primaryamino substitutions on the 3-, 4-, 5-, and 8-positions of the psoralen, which yet permit their binding to nucleic acid of pathogens. Reaction conditions that photoactivate these psoralens result in the inactivation of pathogens which contain nucleic acid. The compounds show similar activity in test systems to 4′ and 5′ derivatives of proralen useful for inactivation of pathogens in blood products. In addition to the psoralen compositions, the invention contemplates such inactivating methods using the new psoralens.

The constructs facilitate generation of a read-out for high-throughput screens by combining engineered export with simple bulk sample and sample processing. Live cell sampling enables time course measurements and expands, for example, the applicability of transcriptional profiles obtained by single cell gene expression analysis.

摘要： Reported herein are presumptively de-attenuating mutations that are useful, either individually or in combinations that may include other known mutations, in producing recombinant strains of human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) exhibiting attenuation phenotypes. Also described herein is a novel RSV construct, Min_L-NPM2-1(N88K)L, which exhibits an attenuated phenotype, is stable and is as immunogenic as wild type RSV. The recombinant RSV strains described here are suitable for use as live-attenuated RSV vaccines. Exemplary vaccine candidates are described. Also provided are polynucleotide sequences capable of encoding the described viruses, as well as methods for producing and using the viruses.
