Abstract: According to embodiments of the present invention, a floating structure is provided. The floating structure includes an open top end; an open bottom end opposite the open top end; an annular wall extending between the open top end and the open bottom end; and a cylindrical structure arranged off center of the floating structure and configured to support a tower. The annular wall forms a circumferential peripheral of the floating structure to provide a central moonpool. At least part of the cylindrical structure extends alongside and coupled to the annular wall. According to further embodiments, an apparatus including the floating structure and a tower supported by a cylindrical structure of the floating structure is also provided.

Abstract: A system for supporting and/or tensioning a subsea tendon. The system includes a cylindrical vessel forming a chamber, there being an air control valve proximate the top end of the vessel and a water vent proximate the bottom end of the vessel. A source of high pressure air is operatively connected to the chamber whereby ballasting and deballasting of the vessel can be easily accomplished by remote operation of the air control valve. The system further includes a yoke having a clamp mounted thereon, the yoke being releasably connectable to the cylindrical vessel and operative to connect to hoisting lines such as chains.

Abstract: The invention is an autonomous unmanned underwater and sailing vehicle (AUUSV). The vehicle is operable as an underwater glider and a surface sailing vehicle and a method therefor is disclosed herein. The vehicle features a body with a hull and two fins attached to a rotating component. These fins extend laterally and outwardly from the hull, with opposite top and bottom surfaces, and can pivot relative to the body. An actuator within the rotating component independently adjusts each fin's angle. Ballast weights inside the fins alter the vehicle's roll angle in underwater mode or provide stability in surface mode. The body houses a compartment for containing at least one other vehicle or system, complete with an opening and a receiving and launching element. A variable-buoyancy propulsion system, carried by the body, enables the vehicle to alternately descend and ascend in water.

Abstract: The embodiment of the present disclosure provides a recovery device for oil spilling on water, a control method thereof, and a recovery vessel. The recovery device includes a casing, a control center, a variable pressure airbag, an oil detector, an isolation layer, a water suction pump, and a drain pipe. The casing is of a hollow structure, the hollow structure is used to accommodate an oil-water mixture and used as a temporary oil collection tank, the upper part of the casing is provided with an oil-water mixture inlet, the bottom of the casing is provided with a drain port, and the side wall of the casting is provided with an oil suction port. The variable pressure airbag is arranged outside the casing, and the variable pressure airbag is configured to adjust buoyancy of the recovery device. The water suction pump is configured to pump out water in the casing and discharge water to a water environment outside the casing through the drain pipe. The control center is arranged on the casing for controlling the volume of the variable pressure airbag and the startup and shutdown of the water suction pump.
