Abstract:
A solid state diaphragm device is constructed by the use of an electrochromie material. Prior to an initiation of a shutter operation, the above-described solid state diaphragm device is supplied with a predetermined amount of driving current flowing in a direction to excite the electrochromie material for production of a color, thereby the size of density of aperture of the diaphragm is adjusted to the aperture information given from the camera body. During the shutter operation, the current supply to said solid state diaphragm device is cut off. After a termination of the shutter operation, an equal amount of current to that of the driving current is allowed to flow in the reversed direction to said solid state diaphragm device, thereby the full open aperture position is regained. The amount of current supplied to said solid state diaphragm device is controlled in accordance with the output of a light metering circuit.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an aperture stop-down confirmation device for a camera. So far, in order to carry out the aperture stop-down operation for confirming the depth of focus before photographing in the case of a camera having a mechanical diaphragm device, it is necessary to drive the diaphragm member against the strength of the charge spring of the diaphragm device so that considerable strength is needed for carrying out the diaphragm closing, which is inconvenient. In accordance with the present invention, a diaphragm device whose aperture is controlled by means of an electrical signal such as a diaphragm device making use of a property of matter is so designed that the light admitting part and the light shading part are constituted by varying the light transmittance. The aperture is constituted with the light admitting part or an electromagnetic diaphragm device is used while an aperture stop-down confirmation switch is provided in such a manner that an electrical signal is applied to the diaphragm device by means of the switch so as to carry out the diaphragm closing in order to eliminate the above-mentioned shortcomings.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal cell of elongated shape adapted to be arranged at one side of the field of view of the camera finder has a plurality of opposing of transparent electrodes on opposite sides of a liquid crystal layer which are aligned to each other in a matrix form, whereby the necessary number of leads is reduced. In order for the liquid crystal layer to present an indication in a selected area, or areas, an alternating voltage is applied across the correspondingly aligned electrodes, while still preventing the above-identified alternating voltage to appear at two or more electrodes in one set simultaneously even when light is blocked in the two separated areas of the liquid crystal layer. In other words, the number of those of the plurality of electrodes in set to which the alternating voltage is applied at a time depending upon the exposure value is limited always to only one even when two separated areas are selected for light shuttering at a time. Thus, the exposure values or shutter times can be indicated in half-steps increments.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a liquid crystal cell having a plural number of electrode pairs arranged on both sides of the liquid crystal matter so as to be opposed to each other, being characterized in that a pulse wave generating device for generating the first pulse wave with smaller amplitude than the threshold value for lighting the liquid crystal and the second pulse wave with larger amplitude than the threshold value for lighting the liquid crystal in reversed phase to each other and a gate device for selectively applying the outputs of the pulse wave generating device to each electrode of the liquid crystal cell in accordance with the input signal are provided. Thus, only the voltage between the selecting electrodes is higher than the threshold value. An input change over device is provided so as to change over the input signal group in a time dividing way in such a manner that a plural number of dots can be displayed visually at the same time. As a result, the wiring is simplified.
Abstract:
In the disclosed folding camera, a built-in flash is disabled and displaced into an inoperative position within the regular contours of the camera housing when the housing is folded. When the housing is extended, the flash may be set either in an operative enabled position outside the regular housing contours or in the inoperative disabled position within the contours.
Abstract:
A camera wherein a front housing which contains a photographing optical system, an exposure device, etc. is connected by a foldable connecting device such as a bellows or the like to a rear housing which contains a photosensitive material to be exposed to light, a view finder optical system, etc. During photographing, the foldable connecting device is stretched to adjust the distance between the front and rear housings to a distance suitable for photographing. When the camera is not in use, the connecting device is contracted to being the front and rear housings very close to each other. An electrical wiring arrangement of a flexible material is either provided on the surface of the bellows or formed together with the bellows as an integral part of the bellows when it is formed in such a way as to be stretchable and contractable together with the bellows, the wiring service to electrically connect the components disposed in the front housing to those disposed in the rear housing. In our embodiment, a main switch disposed in the rear housing is operable from a switch control device in the front housing when the bellows is fully expanded.
Abstract:
A game system includes: a jackpot drawing apparatus for performing a payout process for paying out to a winning player at least part of an amount indicated by payout amount data when the drawing unit determines winning of the jackpot award; and a notification processing apparatus for performing, when performing the jackpot award winning notification process for notifying the player who has won the jackpot award, of winning of the jackpot award, prior to issuing the same, an advance notification process for issuing an advance notification to the effect that a player who plays by using each game apparatus belonging to a predetermined group configured by two or more game apparatuses including the game apparatus with which the player who wins the jackpot award plays is notified that the player who plays by using either game apparatus belonging to the predetermined group wins the jackpot award.
Abstract:
A game system includes a management apparatus and a game device. The management apparatus includes an authentication section for obtaining results of authentications using first and second identifiers that should correspond to a user. When the results of the authentications are affirmative, a validity time limit is associated with the first identifier. In addition, the game device includes a confirmatory identifier acquirer for acquiring a confirmatory identifier that should correspond to the user, and an inquiry maker for making an inquiry asking the management apparatus to check whether or not the first identifier conforming to the confirmatory identifier is stored in the management apparatus. The inquiry inquires the management apparatus to check whether or not the validity time limit corresponding to the first identifier is a time after the present time when the first identifier conforming to the confirmatory identifier is stored in the management apparatus. A permitter of the management apparatus permits execution of a service associated with the first identifier used in the inquiry when results of checks by the manager in response to the inquiry are affirmative.
Abstract:

Abstract:
In order to prevent a situation where a winner for a jackpot award is consequently concentrated on a player who plays by using a particular game apparatus that is a part of a game system, the game system includes a jackpot drawing apparatus for performing the following processes: when the drawing unit determines winning of the jackpot award, payout amount data is read out from the storage unit, a payout process for paying out a payout target having at least a part of an amount indicated by the read-out payout amount data to the winning player is carried out, and at the same time, when a predetermined payout amount increasing condition is satisfied, the amount indicated by the payout amount data stored in the storage unit is cumulatively increased. The drawing unit carries out the jackpot drawing by carrying out a group drawing carried out for determining whether one winning group is selected or neither group is selected according to a predetermined group drawing condition, from previously determined two or more groups each configured by two or more game apparatuses, and by carrying out, when the winning group is selected by the group drawing, a winner drawing carried out for determining whether the player who wins the jackpot award is selected or neither player is selected, from the players who play by using the two or more game apparatuses belonging to the winning group.
