    Abstract: A first apparatus may be configured to generate a scheduling request to request to transmit at least one of data or control information on a sidelink channel. The first apparatus may be further configured to transmit, to another UE, the scheduling request on resources of a channel configured to carry feedback responsive to transmissions on the sidelink channel. A second apparatus may be configured to monitor resources on a channel for transmissions from other UE, the channel being configured to carry feedback from the other UE responsive to transmissions on a sidelink channel. The second apparatus may be further configured to receive at least one scheduling request from at least one of the other UE on the resources of the channel configured to carry the feedback based on monitoring the resources on the channel.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may transmit a polling request to a receiving device in sidelink control information that is associated with a sidelink data transmission. The polling request may be included in a sidelink control information message or in a medium access control layer message. The receiving device may respond to the polling request with an indication of whether there is data available for transmission to the transmitting device at the receiving device. The transmitting device may determine whether to schedule reverse sidelink resources for the receiving device to transmit the available data based on the response to the polling request.

In some systems, a semi-static split with a greater duration for communications between a controller and one or more associated sensor/actuators than a duration for communications between the controller and base station can be used.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently performing and reporting reference signal received power (RSRP) measurements. In particular, the techniques described herein may allow a user equipment (UE) to efficiently identify reference signals on which to perform RSRP measurements (e.g., based on signaling from a base station), identify when to report RSRP measurements (e.g., aperiodically, periodically, or semi-persistently), and identify a channel on which to report RSRP measurements (e.g., a sidelink channel or an uplink channel). In addition, the techniques described herein may also allow a UE to efficiently identify open loop parameters to use to determine an appropriate transmit power for transmitting to another UE over a sidelink.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Autonomous transmissions between a user equipment (UE) and a base station may be configured that include at least one of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) or resources for the transmissions. In some cases, a trigger may be detected that changes the MCS or resources to be used for the autonomous transmissions. The trigger may include the presence or absence of retransmissions or the value of a channel measurement falling below or exceeding a threshold value. Accordingly, the base station and UE may adjust the MCS or resources to be used for the autonomous transmissions based on detecting the trigger and then communicate using the adjusted MCS or resources. In some cases, the configuration for the autonomous transmissions may be signaled via a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE).

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to back-off mechanisms for fair joint access of an unlicensed sidelink channel. Each sidelink device may perform independent and asynchronous listen before talk (LBT) of the unlicensed sidelink channel with a respective back-off timer initialized with a back-off value selected to provide fair access to the unlicensed sidelink channel by both active sidelink devices and other devices utilizing the unlicensed sidelink channel. In some examples, the back-off value may be selected based on an estimated number of active sidelink devices. The estimated number of active sidelink devices may be determined, for example, by monitoring distributed handshake signaling on the unlicensed sidelink channel.
