    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to signaling medium reservation information medium sharing among multiple radio technologies (RATs) are provided. A wireless communication device of a first RAT detects a channel reservation signal of a second RAT in a spectrum shared by the first RAT and the second RAT. The wireless communication device determines whether the channel reservation signal indicates a first transmission opportunity (TXOP) duration or a second TXOP duration that is different from the first TXOP duration. The wireless communication device selects, based on the determination, at least one of performing a backoff or continuing to monitor the spectrum.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some systems (e.g., Wi-Fi systems), a transmitting device such as an access point (AP) or mobile station (STA), may identify a number of spatial streams for a data transmission that is less than a number of transmit antennas, and may transmit a packet over a channel. In a first implementation, the packet may be formatted in a multi-user frame format, with a number of long training field (LTF) symbols equal to the number of transmit antennas. In a second implementation, the packet may be a null data packet (NDP), and the device may transmit a separate data packet. In a third implementation, the packet may be formatted in single-user frame format with a modified LTF. A receiving device may receive the packet, and may perform channel estimation and power amplifier (PA) distortion cancellation based on the received packet.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for indicating a data rate of a packet. The transmitting device may select the data rate of a data field of the packet to be transmitted to the receiving device, and may select a pattern to embed within a preamble of the packet based on the selected data rate. In some implementations, the transmitting device may select a first structure including a first number of instances of a sequence or its logical complement if the selected data rate is a low data rate, and may select a second structure including a second number of instances of the sequence or its logical complement if the selected data rate is a high data rate.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for single and multi-user signal extensions or padding are provided. In various aspects, a number of symbols required to transmit a plurality of data bits to each of a plurality of wireless communication devices and a fraction of useful bits in a final symbol of each of the plurality of data bits is determined. A signaling extension length may also be determined based at least in part on the fraction of useful bits and a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) of each of the plurality of wireless communication devices. A plurality of data packets for each of the plurality of wireless communication devices are generated, with each data packet comprising the corresponding data bits and the signaling extension after the final symbol of each of the plurality of data packets.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. The method may include transmitting, at an access point (AP), a wakeup waveform comprising a first preamble portion occupying a first bandwidth, the first preamble portion comprising six (6) or more orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, the sixth one of which is un-rotated binary phase shift keying (BPSK) modulated and transmitting a second wakeup portion of the wakeup waveform occupying a second bandwidth that is less than the first bandwidth. The method may further include receiving a preamble, the preamble occupying a first bandwidth, identifying an un-rotated BPSK modulated symbol following a first preamble portion in the received preamble, and detecting that the preamble is associated with a wakeup waveform based at least in part on the identified un-rotated BPSK modulated symbol.
