    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit one or more messages indicating a first time period having a duration prior to expected traffic being available for transmission at the UE, and indicating a size associated with the expected traffic (e.g., a quantity of bits). In some examples, the one or more messages may include a UE assistance information (UAI) message or a buffer status report (BSR) message. The UE may receive a response message based on the one or more messages indicating that a network entity is to enter a sleep mode during a second time period based on the first time period and the size associated with the expected traffic. In some examples, the network entity may enter the sleep mode based on the first time period and the size associated with the expected traffic.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, signaling indicating a channel state information (CSI) report configuration. The CSI report configuration may indicate a mapping between one or more CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) resources or one or more CSI-RS port groups and one or more antenna panels or antenna subpanels of the base station. The UE may generate CSI feedback based on the mapping. In some cases, the UE may generate the CSI feedback based on multiple hypotheses that correspond to CSI-RS measurements. In some examples, the multiple hypotheses may include a set of hypothesis groups based on one or more antenna panels or antenna subpanels of the base station. The UE may transmit a message reporting the CSI feedback to the base station.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a request to provide an enhanced positioning measurement report comprising a positioning measurement and further comprising a report of components of a channel power delay profile (PDP), a report of a probability distribution of times of arrival (ToA), or both. The UE may determine an enhanced measurement period required by the UE to perform the enhanced positioning measurement, wherein the enhanced measurement period is longer than a standard measurement period required by the UE to perform a non-enhanced positioning measurement. The UE may perform the enhanced positioning measurement using the enhanced measurement period. The UE may provide the enhanced positioning measurement report to the network entity.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to techniques for peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction based on a tone reservation (TR) algorithm. For a TR algorithm, a suitable subset of tones from among a full set of tones in a given resource allocation are reserved for use as peak reduction tones (PRT). An apparatus, such as a wireless communication device, selects a set of PRTs based on a deterministic pseudo-random tone selection algorithm, such as quadratic sampling, cubic sampling, or Fibonacci-type sampling. The apparatus determines a PAPR reduction waveform for transmission on the PRTs and transmits a data waveform multiplexed with the PAPR reduction waveform on resources corresponding to the resource allocation. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Aspects provide for wireless communication between a UE and a radio access network (RAN) node in a wireless communication network. The RAN node may generate a re-synchronization signal (RSS) for a bandwidth part (BWP) of a plurality of BWPs and transmit the RSS in the BWP of a downlink to the UE. A first bandwidth of the RSS may be based on a second bandwidth of the BWP. The UE may receive the RSS in different RRC states and perform a measurement of the RSS for synchronization, for an early detection of a paging or wake-up signal, and/or for radio resource management (RRM) measurements or radio link monitoring (RLM) measurements. The UE may utilize a communication link with the RAN node based on the measurement and the RAN node may utilize the communication link to communicate with a group of UEs sharing at least one same RSS beam.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A configuration for a reference signal used to determine a non-linear behavior of transmission components at a transmitting device may be determined. The configuration for the reference signal may be determined based on signaling transmitted by the transmitting device, signaling transmitted by a device that receives the reference signal, or both. Additionally, or alternatively, the configuration for the reference signal may be determined based on a configuration of other signals transmitted by the transmitting device prior to or concurrently with the transmission of the reference signal. The determined configuration may be used to generate and transmit the reference signal or to determine a configuration of a received reference signal. In both cases, a non-linear response of transmission components at the transmitting device may be determined based on the reference signal.
