Abstract: A wireless device, such as a PLC, receives data from at least one wireless device. The wireless device transmits first feedback for the data in a downlink control channel to the at least one wireless device and transmits second feedback for the data in an uplink control channel to a base station. The base station receives the feedback in an uplink control channel and transmits a retransmission of the data to the wireless device in response to receiving the feedback.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a wireless communications system may support short reference signals for sidelink communication. A transmitting user equipment (UE) and a receiving UE may receive, from a base station, configuration signaling that indicates a set of sidelink resources that includes a set of slots within a subcarrier. A subset of the slots may include a first set of symbols allocated to a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) and a second set of symbols allocated to a reference signal, where the first set of symbols comes before the second set of symbols in a time domain. The transmitting UE may transmit, to the receiving UE, a reference signal over the second set of symbols and the receiving UE may utilize the reference signal to decode data message received from the transmitting UE.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media that enable and support backward cancellation indication for sidelink transmissions are described. In a situation where a sidelink data transmission with respect to one or more resources previously reserved for sidelink communication is ineffectual, a sidelink transmission user equipment (UE) may indicate the ineffectual data transmission in a transmission opportunity subsequent to the transmission having an ineffectual data transmission, such as by transmitting a backward cancellation indication (BCI). The BCI may provide information to a corresponding sidelink receiver UE regarding the resource with respect to the ineffectual data transmission. The sidelink receiver UE may use information provided by the BCI in determining whether to alter utilization of signals received on resources of the ineffectual data transmission. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may transmit a polling request to a receiving device in sidelink control information that is associated with a sidelink data transmission. The polling request may be included in a sidelink control information message or in a medium access control layer message. The receiving device may respond to the polling request with an indication of whether there is data available for transmission to the transmitting device at the receiving device. The transmitting device may determine whether to schedule reverse sidelink resources for the receiving device to transmit the available data based on the response to the polling request.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a base station may develop a number of different predictive models for each of a number of different functions. The different functions may be used to determine various beamforming parameters for beamformed communications between a user equipment (UE) and a base station. The base station may provide the models to a UE, and the UE may then use such models to determine values for one or more beamforming parameters. A same function (e.g., a beam prediction function to identify a transmit/receive beam for communications) may have multiple different models, which may be provided to the UE by the base station, which may be used based on particular channel conditions or locations of a UE. The UE or base station may select which model of the multiple predictive models is to be used for communications.

In some systems, a semi-static split with a greater duration for communications between a controller and one or more associated sensor/actuators than a duration for communications between the controller and base station can be used. In some embodiments, an interrupt can be used to allow for base station control.

Abstract: Enhanced measurements for new radio-unlicensed (NR-U) operations are disclosed. Compatible user equipments (UEs) may be configured to perform virtual full listen before talk (LBT) procedures for measurement purposes. The UEs may then compile LBT statistics derived from the virtual LBT procedures and include such statistics in an enhanced measurement report the their serving base stations. The LBT statistics provide a more direct and detailed reflection of the usage of a shared communication channel. Such UEs may further be configured to gather additional LBT statistics from transmission-based LBT procedures in addition to the virtual LBT procedures. The additional direct and detailed usage of a shared channel may then be provided in the enhanced measurement reports in accordance with described aspects.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to assisting communications with low data payloads with relay nodes. An example method generally includes forming a first cluster with a first wireless node and one or more second wireless nodes, wherein each of the second wireless nodes has a low data rate demand relative to a system bandwidth. The method also includes determining to serve as a relay node for the first cluster, generating a first set of packets for uplink transmission to a base station, receiving a second set of packets from the one or more second wireless nodes, combining the first set of packets and the second set of packets into an uplink payload based on the determination, and transmitting, to the base station, the uplink payload based on the determination.
