Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may receive, from at least one second UE, first control information associated with a first reserved set of resources on a sidelink channel. The first UE may attempt to decode additional control information based at least in part on the first control information. The first UE may transmit, based at least in part on failing to decode the additional control information, a message using the first reserved set of resources. In some aspects, the first UE may determine, based on one or more resource dimensions, at least one first distance between the first UE and the at least one second UE, such that the message is transmitted with a first transmit power based at least in part on the first distance. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring a search space for sidelink communications between one or more sensors/actuators (SAs) and programmable logic controller (PLC) in internet of things (IoT) applications in order to minimize the number of subchannels that a receiver (e.g., PLC or SA) may need to blind decode. More particularly, the search space is configurable based on a hashing function that is based in part on a portion of the resources (e.g., PLC resources) that have been allocated or reserved for sidelink communication within the PLC subnetwork (or PLC group) from the sidelink resource pool available to a plurality of PLCs in a network. By limiting the search space to a subset of resources that are specific to the PLC subnetwork or group, the need for the SA or PLC to perform blind decoding of sidelink control information (SCI) may be further reduced.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a fallback retransmission for a sidelink. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes monitoring a transmission from a node. The UE can determine that the transmission was not successfully decoded. The UE can send a feedback message to the node indicating that the transmission was not successfully decoded. The feedback message can also include an indication of whether the node or a base station (BS) retransmits the transmission. The node retransmits the transmission or indicates to the BS to retransmit based on the feedback message. The BS can configure the node, the UE, or both with one or more thresholds for determining whether the node or the BS retransmits the transmission.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for group semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) for path diversity. A method that may be performed by a node includes configuring one or more groups of user equipments (UEs) with one or more SPS resources. The node sends a downlink control information (DCI) to activate one of the SPS resources for one of the groups of UEs and transmits data to the group of UEs using the activated SPS resource. A first UE may receive data from the node using the activated SPS resource and retransmit the data to the second UE. The first helping UE and the second targeted UE may be identified based on the higher layer configuration with the SPS resources, based on information in the DCI, and/or based on information sent with the data.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of one or more resources, assigned to multiple UEs, to be used to transmit a channel quality indicator (CQI) report; receive an indication of a threshold value associated with a range of channel conditions corresponding to a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) being used to communicate with the UE; and selectively transmit the CQI report on the one or more resources based at least in part on whether a measured channel condition is outside of the range of channel conditions by at least the threshold value. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. A traffic window may be scheduled for a user equipment (UE) base on semi-persistent scheduling (SPS). In various situations, all or a portion of a first communication to be transmitted or received can be transmitted or received during an SPS grant in the traffic window. If useful, additionally, a remainder of the first communication not transmitted or received during the SPS grant may be transmitted in an on-demand grant appended to the SPS grant. The on-demand grant can be in a same subframe as the SPS grant. When the BS appends the on-demand grant to the SPS grant, the BS may transmit, and the UE may receive, an indicator indicating that the on-demand grant has been appended to the SPS grant. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to distributed joint access of an unlicensed sidelink channel. Each sidelink device may perform independent and asynchronous listen before talk (LBT) of the unlicensed sidelink channel with a respective back-off time. The first sidelink device to complete back-off may transmit a joint access synchronization (JAS) signal indicating a duration of time that the unlicensed sidelink channel may be accessed by sidelink devices. Synchronized access sharing of the unlicensed sidelink channel across different active sidelinks may then be achieved through distributed handshake signaling.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described techniques for configuring channel state information (CSI) process for a coordinated set of transmission reception points. The techniques for configuring channel state information (CSI) process for a coordinated set of transmission reception points may include receiving a sounding reference signal (SRS) and identifying, based at least in part on the SRS, a first CoMP set of TRPs. The techniques for configuring channel state information (CSI) process for a coordinated set of transmission reception points may also include transmitting a CSI-RS to a UE and receiving CSI from the UE. The techniques for configuring channel state information (CSI) process for a coordinated set of transmission reception points may further include identifying, based at least in part on the CSI, a second CoMP set of TRPs.
