    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, a method for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE), may include receiving a configuration for reporting feedback associated with beam blocking. The UE may perform a decoding process on one or more downlink transmissions via a set of multiple beams. The UE may determine whether a failure of the decoding process is a result of one or more of the plurality of beams being at least partially blocked during the one or more downlink transmissions according to the configuration. The UE may also transmit a negative acknowledgement (NACK) and link adaptation information, where the NACK acknowledgement is based on the failure of the decoding process and the link adaptation information is based on determining whether the one or more of the set of multiple beams are at least partially blocked.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain one or more of a number of actual bits or a number of dummy bits associated with a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) transmission that includes one or more of a deferred semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) HARQ-ACK or a retransmitted HARQ-ACK codebook. The UE may transmit the HARQ-ACK using a power for a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) that is based at least in part on the number of actual bits, the number of dummy bits, or a total number of bits that is a sum of the number of actual bits and the number of dummy bits. The techniques described herein relate to equipment (UE) timers during cell discontinuous transmission (DTX) and/or discontinuous reception (DRX) at a network entity. A UE may receive control signaling indicating a timer configuration for operation of a timer at the UE associated with a DTX and/or DRX pattern at the network entity. The control signaling may indicate that the network entity will operate in accordance with the DTX and/or DRX pattern for a period of time. The DTX and/or DRX pattern indicates that the network entity cycles between an active transmission/reception mode and an inactive transmission/reception mode during the period of time.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, the described techniques provide for performing and reporting suitable measurements, at a first user equipment (UE), on reference signals from relay UEs to determine which relay UEs to activate or deactivate for relaying communications for the first UE. The first UE may be configured to perform measurements on deactivated relay UEs, and the first UE may report these measurements (or other measurements) when one or more events are triggered. The events may depend on the measurements performed on the deactivated relay UEs. Once the events are triggered, the first UE may report the measurements, and a second UE or a network entity may use the measurements to efficiently determine which relay UEs to activate or deactivate for relaying communications for the first UE.
