    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications supporting network coordination during path switching and multi-path scenarios are described. For example, a first network entity may receive, from a first user equipment (UE), a measurement report indicating a degradation of communications between the first UE and the first network entity. The first network entity may transmit, to a second network entity, a request message to switch a connection between the first UE and the first network entity to a connection between the first UE and the second network entity. The second network entity may transmit, to the first network entity, an acknowledgment based on the request. The first network entity may configure the first UE for the new connection and the second network entity may configure the second UE for the new connection. The first UE may communicate with the second network entity via the second UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support transmitting a network coded combined message to a second wireless device that may have missed at least one sidelink message included in another network coded combined message. A first wireless device may identify that the sidelink messages are configured for network coding based on information associated with the sidelink messages. Control information associated with the network coded combined message may indicate that the network coded message is a network coded combined retransmission of the sidelink messages, and may further include information identifying the sidelink messages and devices that transmitted the sidelink messages. The first wireless device may combine the sidelink messages into the network coded combined message and may transmit the control information and the associated network coded combined sidelink message to the second wireless device, which may support decoding of one or more missed sidelink messages.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for layer 2 relay user equipment (UE) mobility. A relay UE relays data between a first network entity and a remote UE based on a first configuration of the remote UE. The relay UE may receive, from the first network entity on a first connection, a handover request that includes a second configuration for a second network entity or a third configuration for the remote UE. The relay UE determines whether dual active protocol stack radio link control channels are configured for the remote UE based on the first configuration or the third configuration. The relay UE establishes a second connection with the second network entity based on the second configuration, and transmits, to the remote UE, a handover status indicating a result of establishing the second connection with the second network entity.

    Abstract: Conditional handover (CHO) configurations may include random access channel (RACH) configuration information (e.g., beam quality thresholds, beam quality threshold offsets, one or more beams associated with configured contention free random access (CFRA) resources, one or more beams associated with configured contention based random access (CBRA) resources, or some combination thereof). A user equipment (UE) may, upon detection that a handover condition in a CHO configuration has been satisfied, select a target cell beam for transmission of a random access request based on the RACH configuration information included in the CHO configuration. In various examples, the selected beam may correspond to a highest quality beam with a highest quality beam measurement value above the beam quality threshold, a beam with an earliest configured CFRA resource or an earliest configured CBRA resource (e.g., if a corresponding beam measurement at least falls within the beam quality threshold offset), etc.

    Abstract: Techniques are described herein for signaling procedures that use a hierarchical mobility, which may be applied when a user equipment (UE) is operating in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state or the RRC idle state. A wireless communication system may be configured with a plurality of areas in which one or more networks are established for communicating certain types of signals. Examples of the areas associated with networks may include a tracking area (TA), a radio access network area code (RAN-AC), a radio access network based notification area (RNA). A synchronization signal or a paging signal may be transmitted using a first set of communication resources in a first area, while the synchronization signal or the paging signal may be transmitted using a second set of communication resources in a second area different than the first set of communication resources.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to procedures for supporting conditional new radio (NR) secondary node (SN) addition and change by using conditional handover (CHO) procedures. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a master node (MN), configuration information, identifying a set of candidate cells for a conditional addition or change of a SN for a the UE based on execution criteria, detecting the execution criteria is met for one of the candidate cells, and taking action to add or change to the candidate cell as an SN based on the detection.
