Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for enabling low-power positioning of a first mobile device using differential angle of arrival (AoA). A differential AoA between a first AoA of a first wireless reference signal at a second mobile device and a second AoA of a second wireless reference signal at the second mobile device is obtained, where the first wireless reference signal is transmitted by a wireless network node, and the second wireless reference signal is transmitted by the first mobile device. The position of the first mobile device is determined based at least in part on the differential AoA. The position of the first mobile device is then provided.

The UE may perform a handover from the first cell to the second cell during a positioning session with at least the first cell and the second cell. The RE performs positioning measurements on the different beams at the different times, at least based on the sets of beam characteristics, and sends positioning information to the TRP, the positioning information comprising at least some of the positioning measurements, a positioning estimate, or combinations thereof.

Abstract: Reference signals used in location estimation of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless data network can be secured against a man-in-the-middle attack by a transmitting device withholding the conveyance of transmission parameters for decoding portions of a reference signal until after the portions are transmitted. Thus, receiving devices can buffer received signals and, after receiving the transmission parameters, process the buffered signals. To further prevent an attacker device from attacking future reference signals, transmission parameters can be nondeterministic such that an attacker device obtaining a parameter at a certain period of time is unable to use the decoded parameter predict or determine subsequent transmission parameters.

The receiving entity sends positioning information to the TRP. The positioning information may include the at least one positioning measurement estimate.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a serving BS of a UE may transmit a PDCCH communication to the UE. The PDCCH communication triggers a partial RACH procedure, whereby a RACH transmission is performed. In some designs, the RACH transmission is for positioning, and positioning measurements are performed at the serving BS and (optionally) at one or more non-serving BSs. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit control signaling scheduling a downlink transmission to a user equipment (UE) across multiple bandwidth parts (BWPs) and an indication of a code block group (CBG)-based mapping for the downlink transmission. A transport block (TB) of the downlink transmission may include multiple code block groups (CBGs) that are mapped across the BWPs. The UE may monitor for the TB across the BWPs based on the CBG mapping. For example, the UE may determine the CBGs are mapped across different BWPs based on the cross-BWP CBG mapping. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may determine each CBG is mapped within one BWP based on the cross-BWP CBG BWPs mapping. The UE may calculate a TB size based on available time and frequency resources and may decode the TB based on calculating the TB size and the cross-BWP CBG mapping.
