摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method for paging coverage extension UEs in a cell controlled by a radio base station. At least one CE-specific paging possibility is defined for paging CE-UEs. The CE-UEs in the cell regularly monitor the at least one CE-specific paging possibility. When the radio base station determines to page all the user equipments in the cell, it pages the CE user equipments in the cell at the CE-specific paging possibility, using a coverage extension technique. The disclosure also relates to a method for paging a CE-UE, which performs radio measurements by a CE-capable user equipment to determine whether coverage extension is necessary. The radio base station is informed about whether the CE-capable user equipment needs coverage extension and then pages the CE-UEs applying or not applying a CE technique depending on whether coverage extension is necessary.

An exemplary apparatus comprises a first timer configured to start upon uplink data transmission and stop after a first predetermined time; a second timer configured to start upon stop of the first timer and to stop after a second predetermined time; a receiver for receiving downlink control information including a positive acknowledgement for uplink new data transmission or retransmission, the receiver being configured to perform the receiving only when the first timer is stopped and the second timer is running, wherein the second timer is further configured to stop upon receiving the positive acknowledgement. Moreover, an apparatus for receiving the data and transmitting the control channel is provided as well as the corresponding transmitting and receiving method.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a Discontinuous Reception, DRX, function at a user equipment. The UE is configured with at least one licensed cell and at least one unlicensed cell and operates the DRX function. The UE receives, from a radio base station, a DRX-active instruction to be in DRX Active Time at least on the unlicensed cell until receiving the next downlink control information related to a downlink data transmission to be received via the unlicensed cell. Correspondingly, in response to the received DRX-active instruction, the UE is in DRX Active Time at least on the unlicensed cell, comprising continuously monitoring a downlink control channel for downlink control information.

摘要: The invention relates to an improved handover procedure for a mobile terminal. Under control of the target base station, the mobile terminal is to perform a handoff to a target base station, wherein it is to be configured for communication with the target base station via a target radio cell comprising a downlink carrier and an uplink carrier. The mobile terminal receives a handoff command message for the handoff to the target base station including a handoff execution condition as trigger for executing handoff to the target base station. Then, the mobile terminal determines, based on the received handoff execution condition, whether or not the mobile terminal is to trigger execution of the handoff to the target base station. In case the mobile terminal determines that it is to trigger execution of the handoff to the target base station, the mobile terminal executes the handoff to the target base station.

摘要: An invention relates to methods for transmitting a buffer status report (BSR) in a mobile communication system, more particularly to the definition of rules for triggering, generating and transmitting BSRs. The invention also relates to a data transmission method utilizing new rules to decide data of which radio bearers is transmitted within a given transmission time interval. Moreover, the invention relates to scheduling method for radio resources that is taking into account additional scheduling-relevant information from the buffer status reporting and/or data transmission method. To avoid unnecessary grants from the network and to suggest an advanced handling of data transmissions the invention suggests a buffer status reporting and data transmission schemes that take into account the scheduling mode of data of radio bearers pending for transmission to decide whether to report on it in a buffer status report, respectively, whether to multiplex the data to a transport block for transmission.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to methods for selecting or reselecting a cell from among a plurality of cells. The present disclosure is also providing mobile stations for performing these methods, and computer readable media the instructions of which cause the mobile station to perform the methods described herein. For this purpose, the mobile station is detecting cells which are candidates (i.e. candidate cells) for selection or reselection, utilizing either the normal coverage mode or the enhanced coverage mode. Further, the mobile station is selecting or reselecting a cell among the candidate cells detected, utilizing either the normal coverage mode or the enhanced coverage mode. The mobile station is performing the detection and the selection or reselection on the basis of stored information indicating whether or not at least one of the candidate cells supports that the detection and the selection or reselection utilize the enhanced coverage mode.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method for activating a relay functionality of a ProSe capable and relay-capable user equipment within a mobile communication network. The radio base station, to which the relay UE is connected, determines whether further relays are necessary in the radio cell controlled by the radio base station. In case further relays are necessary in the radio cell, the radio base station selects a persistence check value and transmits a broadcast message in the radio cell. The broadcast message at least indicates that further relays are necessary and comprises the selected persistence check value. Upon receiving the broadcast message, the relay UE activates its relay functionality in case it determines that relay requirements for activating its relay functionality in the radio cell are fulfilled and in case a persistence check performed by the relay UE based on the received persistence check value is successful.
