Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more specifically, to a method and apparatus for accessing channels in a wireless LAN system. The method for accessing channels in a station (STA) of the wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of transmitting a first frame of a channel access request to an access point (AP); and receiving, from the AP, a second frame related to whether access to the channel is allowed in response to the first frame, wherein the second frame can include a value for a channel access start offset with respect to the STA.
Abstract:
A method and device for performing channel access in a wireless LAN are disclosed. An initial channel access method of a station STA in a wireless LAN may include: receiving, from an access point (AP) by the station STA, a frame including information on a channel state, information on a channel access protection section and information on a station STA capable of performing channel access in the channel access protection section; determining a channel access priority by a station STA when the information on the channel state indicates that a wireless link is in a congestion state; and performing initial channel access in the channel access protection section based on the channel access priority determined by the station STA and the information on the station STA capable of performing channel access in the channel access protection section.
Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for transmitting a signal of a station (STA) operable in a power saving mode in a wireless communication system, and the method for transmitting a signal comprises a step of transmitting a PS-Poll frame and/or a trigger frame according to a first time period, wherein an integrated scaling factor is applied to the first time period, and the integrated scaling factor is also commonly applied to a second time period in which the STA can omit frame transmission by maintaining an association state with an access point (AP).
Abstract:
Disclosed are a scanning method and a scanning apparatus. The scanning method for a station (STA) comprises the steps of: transmitting a probe request frame including a scanning priority for a plurality of access points (APs); and sequentially monitoring for the reception of a probe response frame, which is a response to the probe request frame, from at least one of the plurality of Aps for the plurality of APs on the basis of the scanning priority. Thus, scanning processes can be quickly performed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and a device for updating system information in a wireless LAN system. A method for updating system information in a station (STA) of a wireless communication system may comprise transmitting, by the STA which stores system information and a configuration change count value of a previously linked preferred access point (AP), a probe request frame for active scanning to the preferred AP; and receiving a probe response frame from the preferred AP. Preferably, the probe request frame includes a configuration change count field previously acquired from the preferred AP, and if a value of the configuration change count field included in the probe request frame is different from a present configuration change count value of the preferred AP, the probe response frame may include one or more elements of system information which should be updated by the STA.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method by which a station (STA) which operates in power save mode in a wireless LAN system transmits and receives frames. The method includes the steps of: obtaining a channel access authority on the basis of at least one slot time, wherein each slot time is the unit time when a channel is maintained in an idle state for a channel access by the STA; transmitting a power save (PS) poll frame requesting the transmission of a buffered frame to an access point (AP); and receiving a response frame from the AP in response to the PS poll frame. The length of each slot time is set to be longer than the transmission time of the PS poll frame.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for performing a channel access by a station (STA) in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: transmitting a first frame for a channel access request to an access point (AP); and receiving a second frame, which is a response to the channel access request, from the AP, wherein the first frame includes information indicating whether or not uplink data of the STA is present.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a wireless communication system. Specifically, the present invention is directed to a method of performing a procedure for link-setup and an apparatus therefore, wherein the method comprises: receiving a probe request frame including time information via a channel, wherein the time information indicates at least one of a minimum scan time for the channel and a maximum scan time for the channel; and performing a procedure for transmitting a probe response frame after receipt of the probe request frame, wherein if a beacon transmission time occurs within a time given based on the time information, transmission of the probe response frame is omitted.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for scanning in a wireless LAN are disclosed. The method for scanning in a wireless LAN comprises the steps of: enabling a station (STA) to receive, from a first access point (AP) operated in a first channel, a detection frame comprising identifier information of a second AP operated in a second channel and beacon frame transmission time information of the second AP, and enabling the STA to scan a beacon frame of the second AP on the basis of the beacon frame transmission time information of the second AP. Thus, the present invention can rapidly perform a scanning operation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for receiving a downlink signal from an access point (AP) by a station (STA) in a wireless communication system, comprising the steps of: transmitting an uplink frame; and receiving a response frame as a response to the uplink frame. A terminal performs a re-association with the AP when it is recognized, via the response frame, that the AP has been restarted.
