Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose an information processing method, a base station, and a terminal. The method includes: receiving, by a master base station, a new radio packet data convergence protocol (NR PDCP) configuration and identification information of a data radio bearer (DRB) corresponding to the NR PDCP configuration from a secondary base station; and sending, by the master base station, the NR PDCP configuration and the identification information of the DRB to a terminal, where the master base station and the secondary base station are base stations of different radio access technologies (RATs).

Abstract: According to the present disclosure, a mobility management method, an access network device, and a terminal device are disclosed. A base station system includes a centralized unit and a distributed unit, the centralized unit communicates with the distributed unit, and the distributed unit communicates with a terminal device through an air interface. An example method includes: selecting, by the centralized unit, a target cell as a secondary cell based on a measurement report reported by the terminal device, and sending configuration information of the target cell to the terminal device through the distributed unit; and receiving, by the centralized unit, primary cell change indication information sent by the distributed unit, performing air interface resource reconfiguration for the target cell based on the primary cell change indication information, generating reconfiguration information, and sending, by the centralized unit, the reconfiguration information to the terminal device through the distributed unit.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose user equipment (UE), which includes a RAC module and a sending module. The RAC module is located at an application layer, an operating system layer, or a baseband layer of the UE. The RAC module is configured to obtain first information, where the first information includes application layer parameter information of the user equipment UE. The sending module is configured to send the first information obtained by the RAC module to the network-side device by using radio resource control RRC signaling or a data radio bearer DRB corresponding to an air interface. According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, application layer parameter information is exchanged between a network-side device and an upper layer of UE, so that the network-side device obtains an application layer parameter of a user equipment side, and performs adjustment or an operation to improve user experience.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an RRC connection method and an apparatus. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal, a deactivation indication message sent by a first base station, where the deactivation indication message carries indication information relating to mobility control of the terminal, and the first base station is a serving base station of the terminal; and releasing, by the terminal, an RRC connection according to the deactivation indication message, reserving context information of the terminal, and entering an inactive state. In this solution, the context information of the terminal does not need to be released, so that when entering a connected state again, the terminal does not need to obtain the context information again, thereby reducing signaling overheads.

Abstract: Example configuration methods and apparatus are described. An example communications system includes a master node and a secondary node that jointly provide a service for a terminal. One example method includes generating configuration information for a signaling radio bearer (SRB) by the secondary node, where the SRB is used to transmit a radio resource control (RRC) message between the secondary node and the terminal. The secondary node sends the configuration information for the SRB to the master node, so that the configuration information for the SRB is sent to the terminal through the master node. The secondary node receives a result of configuring the SRB by the terminal by using the configuration information for the SRB. In this way, the SRB can be established on the secondary node, and used for RRC message transmission between the secondary node and the terminal.
