Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a positioning method based on a time difference of arrival, user equipment, and a network device. The method includes: calculating, by user equipment, a first time difference of arrival RSTD1 based on positioning signals sent by a first base station and a second base station at a same moment; calculating a second time difference of arrival RSTD2 based on known location information of the user equipment; calculating a time alignment error TAE based on the RSTD1 and the RSTD2; and performing, based on the TAE, positioning based on a time difference of arrival TDOA. According to this method, the TAE caused by the base stations is subtracted during positioning calculation. In other words, the time alignment error caused by the base stations is eliminated. Therefore, accuracy of TDOA-based positioning can be ensured.

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to the field of communications technologies, and disclose a positioning method and device, so as to resolve a prior-art problem of relatively low positioning precision caused by a relatively long message transmission delay. A specific solution is as follows: A positioning controller: sends, to a user device, a message that carries positioning auxiliary information including an identifier of a first base station and an identifier of at least one second base station; receives a message that carries a positioning measurement result; obtains location information of the first base station and location information of the at least one second base station; and determines location information of the user device according to the positioning measurement result, the location information of the first base station, and the location information of the at least one second base station.

A method is provided. The method includes allocating a specified time period for receiving an uplink reference signal to each node, receiving an uplink reference signal that is received in the specified time period and forwarded by each node, obtaining power or a signal-to-noise ratio of the uplink reference signal forwarded by each node, selecting a time period corresponding to an uplink reference signal with maximum power or a maximum signal-to-noise ratio as a positioning time period, obtaining a corresponding positioning node according to the positioning time period and the specified time period for receiving an uplink reference signal, and determining a location of the mobile terminal according to a location of the positioning node.

The present invention discloses a positioning apparatus and method. In embodiments of the present invention, a sending module sends auxiliary data information to a terminal, where the auxiliary data information is information required by the terminal to perform measurement on positioning nodes, where the auxiliary data information includes positioning node index numbers of the positioning nodes; a receiving module receives a positioning measurement result sent by the terminal, and provides the positioning measurement result to a positioning module, where the positioning measurement result includes a positioning measurement result corresponding to each positioning node index number, or a positioning measurement result that a reference positioning node index number separately corresponds to other positioning node index numbers; and the positioning module determines a location of the terminal by using the positioning measurement result.

The present invention provides a carrier selection method for positioning measurement, which is applied to positioning measurement in a carrier aggregation scenario. The method includes: obtaining information about carriers supported by each base station participating in positioning; obtaining carriers supported by a terminal and quality information of each carrier; and selecting an optimal carrier supported by each base station from the carriers supported by the terminal, so that the terminal performs positioning measurement according to the optimal carrier. The present invention also provides a positioning measurement method, a positioning processing apparatus, and a terminal. By using the above solution, positioning measurement of terminal is implemented in a carrier aggregation scenario. Moreover, because an optimal carrier of each base station is selected for the terminal to perform positioning measurement, the accuracy of positioning measurement is improved, and thereby the accuracy of positioning is improved.

A control device receives a first positioning measurement parameter used for positioning a user equipment (UE). The positioning method includes: separately obtaining, by a positioning server, location coordinates of M positioning nodes; separately obtaining, by the positioning server, a reference signal time difference RSTD between an ith positioning node and an (i+1)th positioning node in the M positioning nodes and a jth mobile terminal in two mobile terminals; determining, by the positioning server, a relative RSTD according to the RSTD; and determining, by the positioning server, location coordinates of the two mobile terminals according to the relative RSTD and the location coordinates of the M positioning nodes.
